The new Titleist GT280 — an addition to Titleist’s breakthrough line of GT metalwoods — makes its debut in Maui to kick off the 2025 PGA TOUR season, providing players the opportunity to game the new model in competition for the first time.

With many players seeking an additional option at the top end of their setup, Titleist tour reps and R&D engineers worked with players such as Cameron Young and Will Zalatoris to dial in a 13-degree head that worked as a go-to club off the tee and off the deck. Building off the success of the TSR 2W prototype, which debuted on TOUR at last year’s PLAYERS Championship, the introduction of GT280 at Kapalua marks the start of Titleist’s tour validation process for the new mini-driver.

While collaborating with the game’s best players throughout the R&D process, and then earning their final validation, is foundational to the development of all high-performance Titleist golf equipment, we want to hear from you too. What kind of option are you seeking for the top end of your bag? Would you game a GT280? Do you already have that ideal option? Let us know below!

Please Make a 9.5 Degree one

Great news. Titleist always looking forward to help players get the most of their game.
  3. Cannot wait to order one
    I’ve been waiting for this
Nothing better than Titleist on this planet
  4. I will be looking for one of these!
I already know which holes I could use a driver like this.
  5. Looks like a great club! I hope the cg on this gives it a mid-launch trajectory! This would be great in windy conditions! I hope it comes in 2 lofted degrees, adjust to +1/-1! Great job Titleist!

Looking forward to seeing the results of the staff players using this, and the availability of it to the general public.

Should be more "workable" off the tee, and yet not too large to also use it from the fairway if the need arises.

  8. That's a great looking club. I used to carry a driver and a 13° until a few years ago, when I went with a driver, 3W and 5W setup. I've been considering going back to driver and 13°, replacing the 3W but keeping the 5W turned down to 17.25. The GT280 would fill that gap nicely and would be a great with my GT2. I'm looking forward to the feedback from tour validation, which I'm sure will be fantastic. Hopefully we'll see these available soon!

As someone who has been playing golf for awhile, back when drivers still came with metal shafts and smaller heads, this harkens back to the similar size of the Titleist 975D - a classic driver - and proven winner. A driver similar to the 975D with today's technology from Titleist? Yes, please.
  10. Love that another options is available. I was looking to add a new 3 wood this year and was waiting for the GT1 lineup to hopefully come out, or possibly a GT2+ model. Curious if the new 280 would be available in different lofts.

I was lucky enough to see the first generation, which was made for a couple of pros. I'm beyond excited to see this current version and hope to go to a fitting ASAP. It’s not for everyone, but this is a club I’ve been begging for a couple of years.
  17. Hopefully their being released for left handed players
  18. Can’t wait!

Glad to see Titleist having a mini driver option. Would love to give a mini driver a shot. As a lefty I'd love to see this show up with a lefty option. Make it happen Titleist.
