  1. I love the look of the mini driver and know Titleist made the GT280 to be crazy forgiving. I just don’t know how often it would be used in my bag. I use my TSR 3 Wood off the tee but also from the fairway and i don’t know if the new Mini Driver would be as versatile. Can’t wait to see how the tour pros use it! Titleist does it again!
  2. I have carried a 13 degree for years
  3. Yes, I would game a GT280!
It would be my pleasure to demo at my club and spread the news that Titleist has upped their game, once again.
    LMK thanks,
    Steve
  4. Always felt the gap between my 15* 3w and my 5w was too close. Its not a scoring club. Looking for something to rip down those long par 5’s

The new Titleist GT280 — an addition to Titleist’s breakthrough line of GT metalwoods — makes its debut in Maui to kick off the 2025 PGA TOUR season, providing players the opportunity to game the new model in competition for the first time.

With many players seeking an additional option at the top end of their setup, Titleist tour reps and R&D engineers worked with players such as Cameron Young and Will Zalatoris to dial in a 13-degree head that worked as a go-to club off the tee and off the deck. Building off the success of the TSR 2W prototype, which debuted on TOUR at last year’s PLAYERS Championship, the introduction of GT280 at Kapalua marks the start of Titleist’s tour validation process for the new mini-driver.

While collaborating with the game’s best players throughout the R&D process, and then earning their final validation, is foundational to the development of all high-performance Titleist golf equipment, we want to hear from you too. What kind of option are you seeking for the top end of your bag? Would you game a GT280? Do you already have that ideal option? Let us know below!

Add me to the list to demo.

Great looking club head. I've got a 13 degree TSI in the bag now and love it. I've had a 13 degree in the bag many times over the years. Great option off the tee.
  7. What is the head size, shaft and lift options, weight?
  8. What is head size, shaft and loft options, weight?
  9. Looking forward to trying this club, going for fit testing in spring. What kind of distance can the average golfer expect to get from this club?
  10. I need this in my bag! Great news. Can’t wait…fingers crossed it make it out to the general public.

When can we expect this weapon to be available for the general public……..I’am ALL IN!!!!!! Titleist over everything!!!!!!
  12. This might of some use to you all. This club is a 280 cc driver head. I've been playing with a 280 cc driver for years. Mine is called a Wishon Fairway Driver. The length of the shaft is equivalent to a 3 wood. I split fairways nearly every time. I do sacrifice some distance, but not much. The driver head has a 12.5 degrees loft and the head weight is heavier than most 460 cc heads. This is due to the fact that you can't use all carbon fiber and titanium in a small head as it won't weigh enough. You have to incorporate some steel into the mix.

I don't use my club off of the deck as my swing speed is not high enough to launch a 12.5 club in the air. It's also not easy to control off of the deck. Those who have higher swing speed (north of 105 mph) will be able to hit their second shot on a par five from the fairway much easier than I can.

The ball flight is lower and spins less, with a more penetrating flight with these 280 cc clubs. So expect that when you step up to the plate. It flight is similar to that of the old persimmons drivers - starts out low and rises into the air as opposed to instantly getting to 100 feet. It will be a great club for windy conditions and pure links golf.

I am eager to try Titleist new 280 cc driver. It won't last forever as most people will still want 460 cc heads with really long shafts they can't control.

In my opinion this game is about accuracy, not power. I'm a 56 year old 6 handicap and hit my driver about 230 yards.

    Sounds very exciting!!
I currently game the first generation TSr2+ 13* that has been serving as my 3w/metal for fairways and off the tee and it’s been doing a great job.
However I am very curious and would love to see the new mini driver whether it will fit as an addition or replacement option for me. I could be looking into a whole new set of gamers with it.
    Well done Titleist!!
  14. Played a TM mini burner for a while, love seeing this extra option at the top of the bag for a go to confidence club when the drivers just not hitting

I tried out the BRNR mini driver last year to see what it was all about and really liked the smaller, denser feel. At the time I remember thinking to myself that the Titleist really needs to make a club like this. Looking forward to straight trajectories and a tight dispersion with this one. I’ll be gaming this for sure.

I tend struggle with the large heads and prefer the smaller head. I am looking forward to seeing and trying this.

I think this is a great addition. I get a little all over with my driver and this is exactly what I have been waiting for..

Excited to give the GT280 a try. Currently playing a TSi2 cut to 44” (from 45.5 at fitting a few years ago) and loft turned all the way up. GT280 might be a replacement vs addition. Also visually prefer the smaller head. Recently picked up a GT2 18* fairway wood and very happy.
  19. I have the GT 2 13.5 degree fairway. How will this new "mini driver" compare? Thanks.

I think the could be a great club for players looking to get more loft and higher ball flight off the tee. It will also be longer and straighter than most fairway metals overall.
