    Thanks Emily!!
Its super cool to know that Titleist cares to hear feedback from female recreational golfers like me. To be honest, it's intimidating to even venture onto golf community forums in the first place. I don't speak for all female players, but I have always felt the need to prove my worth to be on the course, make sure I'm playing faster than average, striving to hit it long to keep up. While these motivators have been factors that have ultimately improved my game, this kind of acknowledgement from a huge brand like Titleist makes me re-think how I can view myself as a player and makes me feel empowered to encourage more females to get out and play!

I can't speak for everyone Lisa but for me, it doesn't matter male or female, high or low handicap, play fast and follow basic golf etiquette and anyone is always welcome in my foursome. Thanks for revealing your inner thoughts, we all have them. Every time I play with someone new or have a caddie I never met, I get too concerned about what they might think about my game instead of just playing the game. One great thing about our TT community is that it is comprised of every age and level of player. Hopefully we see the growth of even more female players within TT as golf is such a beneficial sport for a life-long healthy lifestyle.

I am a loyal Titleist player with all facets of my equipment. I have used the Titleist ProV1X all throughout college and then a couple years after graduating, I switched over to the TM TP5X. I was waiting for something to come along from Titleist that gave the TP5X a run for it’s money and it’s here! I will officially be making the switch back to Titleist ProV1X! The exceptional feel around the greens and the distance control changed my mind. Flighted wedges and shorter irons still gave me the control and feel I was looking for without giving up on much of the spin. Finally, there was a little more pop of the club face that I was getting with the new ProV1X. Very excited for the full release so I can buy some more to put in my bag during competition!
  6. I used shot scope so I had data and didn’t have to guess. The Pro V1 was +7 yards, the Pro V1x was + 4 yards. It was raining when I tested the Pro V1s, my approach had a higher trajectory. I was fit for Pro V1s so I look forward to playing the other two Vx1s this weekend. I’m also going to do some putting practice with the two balls, I want to see if the Vx1s feel softer than later year.

Had the opportunity to play 18 holes with each ball, in good testing conditions. As a 2021-2022 Pro V1 player, I truly never loved a golf ball more. For years, I had played Pro V1x but found the Pro V1 was just a better fit for me.

The proto 388 (pro V1) felt almost exactly like last year’s version. Spin was good, I did feel like I wasn’t hitting it as long, I can’t say that I hit it well, but it wasn’t the strongest ball striking day for me.

But I will say the proto 348 (pro V1x) was really impressive. I played into a 15-20 mph gusty wind, and found the ball flared a lot less than I expected. It was certainly a little firmer feel off the face of the putter, but on chips and pitches, the spin was amazing. And they were dewey greens…so when I expected a lot more skidding, they really gripped in. The longer the club; the better it got…these might replace the 2021-2022 Pro V1 in my bag.

  8. I had the exact same experience with my testing. I was longer and straighter with the ProV1x, compared to the other prototype AND to current ProV1s. Both did a great job around the greens, but with the longer clubs it was obvious, even my friends who played the rounds with me were like: that one is a clear winner for you. Thanks TT for selecting me as a tester!
  9. I was able to try these last weekend. Each with their own round. I usually play Pro V1 seem still right that 388 felt better for me vs 348.

348 I felt was more firmer. I was hitting it my regular distance and the flight seem normal. There was definitely more spin on my short shots though.

388 I was increasing a couple more yards off my drive. The flight was good. I definitely like the feel much more vs 348. The spin felt good around the green. It was a solid round playing it.
  10. How fun to be able to test these and give feedback. I tested the 388 last weekend. Windy and 60 degrees. I have been fit to the prov1x previously and that is what I play with normally. Holy wedge spin from 80-110 yards. Dancing all over. Love the feel when putting. Reactive and true. Gained about 4 yards off tee. Will test the 358 this weekend.
  11. Sorry for late response on the 348. Honestly pretty close to the 388. Gained some
Off the tee for sure. But what i love is the feel chipping and putting. Can’t wait to buy the new 2023 prov1x. Thanks TT for letting me test these.
  12. Only had the opportunity to play the balls twice. They appear to fly a little lower than my balls. That’s the bad news. I feel I have more control over the flight of the ball and the direction it travels. I LOVE the way it chips and putts. Additionally, I feel very confident when hitting into a breeze or in a cross wind. When these are released, I’ll buy these over my old balls. Thank You for the opportunity to test these wonderful balls.
  13. I tried out the balls this week. I LOVED them! J never got the balls to shop on the green as well as these did. When can I buy these??
  14. Excited when I received the white box! Went out and played my course, Granite Bay GC and ball was very responsive! Good spin control on the greens and accurate release on the greens for each iron!! Hard to tell if any additional distance bc our fairways were recently treated. Liked the ball and didn’t feel much difference from 2022. Possibly a little softer on the ProV1x. Scored great so of course I love them!!!!

The Proto 388 should feel softer than the Proto 348. Also, you should get more spin out of the Proto 348. Hopefully, the roll on the fairways won't be affected by the dormant Bermuda.

The Pro V1 felt great, good short game response -really felt good off my putter. Gain a few yards and like the flight of the ball. The Pro V1x felt a little hard to me.
  17. So excited to be a part of this round of testing! I was fitted for and have been playing the ProV1, mainly because of the feel around the greens. The ProV1x was my second choice because I seemed to average +4 yards more off the tee (but scoring ability was more important).
I tested both the new ProV1 and the new ProV1x against this year’s ProV1. I didn’t notice much difference in the ProV1… but WOW… the new ProV1x gave me more distance off the tee (+6-8) AND felt much softer around the greens. Putting was better also with the new ProV1x than last year’s x…again due to a softer feel (although, I still prefer the ProV1 slightly). I did notice as well, that the new ProV1x seemed to have more forgiveness than my current ProV1 when hitting a less than desirable shot! I may be switching to the ProV1x! Thanks again for including a female golfer in her mid 40’s with an 8-10 handicap index who took up the game as an adult.

Wow!! I was super excited to receive a sleeve of the 348 and 388’s.
As an X player, I found the 348 to be quite similar but with an improved slightly softer feel to the cover and more durable than the 2021 version, which were both greatly received. Similar launch window, slightly more ball speed and carry. Excellent descent angle and spin. Love how fast 348, like 2021 X, feels off face of driver, woods, hybrids and long irons. The softer cover is perfect for better feel with putter and short irons and wedges.
As a former V player, I thought the 388 was more durable than previous models I have played before switching to X in 2021. Loved the soft feel and more durable cover than previous models. Seems to control spin better with wedges than previous experiences of spinning wedges off greens.
Overall, depending on your game, each ball ticks every box for what each individual player is looking for. Best ball(s) in golf for sure. Quality, consistency, perfection.
  19. Had a chance to play today with the new ball today. Consistency was key today. I was able to keep it in the fareway and distance was accurate. I felt it rolled well on the green but had trouble chipping . I was short quite often as was problematic fault and not the ball. I enjoyed playing with it!

I was able to test the new Prov1 and Prov1x's this last week. I found the Prov1 to be a little to spinny. It seemed to fly high and then drop out of the sky. The x's were a little bit lower trajectory and rolled out a little more in the fairway. I tried them both hitting to a par 3. It looked like the X flew about 4 more yards than the other one. The Prov1 landed on the green and spun back about 3 feet. The X landed and rolled forward about 2 feet. I felt I had more control with the ProV1x. They both putt about the same. I didn't feel any difference in the balls coming off the club head. It was fun to try both balls and see a difference. I typically play the ProV1, but with the new balls coming out will change to the X's after seeing the subtle differences.
Thanks for choosing me to test. Hope to do more in the future.

Consistency is still my main focus, which Titleist always delivers for both the ProV1 (388) and ProV1x (348). My putting can attest to that. I loved the durability, as well. I'm still able to gain the drive distance based for my petite frame, age, etc. I have to manage my expectations, so to speak. The soft feel for the ProV1x was very subtle to the previous year's model. I've always loved the soothing sound and maybe noticed a slightly softer one with the ProV1x, negligible at best. I love the flexibility and soft spin that I'm able to gain. I felt more ball control with the ProV1x. I felt the trajectory of the ProV1x was slightly lower than the ProV1s. Looking forward to future testing opportunities.
  22. Thank you for sending me the prototype balls to test out. I found them to be as responsive on the greens as I am always accustomed to with Pro V 1’s. The ball had a consistent feel and trajectory off the irons or woods. I will continue to purchase the pro V 1 as my only golf ball of choice. It is the only ball I’ve found to give that consistent feel from putting to hitting every time.
  23. Thanks for sending the prototype ProV1 and ProV1x golf balls. Got excellent distance on my drives and balls were stopping on the greens better than before (although our greens were punched recently).
Want to play another course with “normal “ greens to get a better comparison.
Overall, very pleased with the feel and performance of both balls.
  24. I was thrilled to get the "white-box" Titleist PRO V1 & 1X and give the balls a swing. Too bad I live in Wisconsin and the October weather was not the best time to test golf balls. Despite the cool temps, the PRO V1 reacted just the way I expected - smooth off the club, good ball flight, and responsive on approaches. The feel of the ball is most important to me and the V1 is the best in the gambit of golf balls.
I expected the PRO V1X to be a little "hard" when I hit it, as my swing speed is not super fast, but the ball came off the driver, fairway clubs, and irons just as smoothly as the PRO V1. I think if I were a golfer who could really work the ball left to right or right to left and spin the approaches accurately, the 1X would be the ball to hit.

Thanks for opportunity to test Titleist equipment.

It's good to get perspective on how the test balls perform in cooler weather.
  26. Wisconsin is having an unusual late October heat wave, so I have gotten my clubs back out and am doing some retesting of the ProV1 & V1X. Now that the I don't have to wear 3 layers of clothes and gloves to swing in and the temps are moderate, the ball is flying better and I can "feel" the soft impact of both balls and see their trajectory. The ProV1x comes off the the club really smoothly and has a nice steady rise. It seems to project higher than the Pro V1, but both seem to carry and roll out about the same distance and with the same accuracy. This is the 1st time I've played a full round with the V1X and am anxious to continue to make this ball my go to ball.

Thanks for the opportunity to test the 388 & 348 protos. Used them both on alternating 9’s during 2 days of tournament play. I was more satisfied with the 348 off the driver. Both rolled beautifully on the greens & off my putter. Got good distance with my irons from both. But, unfortunately, I would not buy either in the future as I will stick with Titleist Super Soft which I love all aspects of play with & get more distance off the tee with than either the 388 or 348!

I recently played both the ProV1 and ProV1x and although I liked them both; I liked the performance of the ProV1 better. The ProV1x had a good ball flight, but I found it didn’t roll out on the green much when hitting my approach shots. The ProV1 had a much better roll for me once the ball hit the green on approach. I appreciate being able to test both balls and will continue to use the ProV1 because I like the overall performance — ball flight, putting and approach shots. Both balls performed well off the tee; the green was where I noticed the most difference based on my play.
