I have a club glove soft bag for my clubs. I have used it for travel to London and several trips here in the US for Adaptive Tournaments.

I bought a hard case for my Scottsdale trip and couldn't be happier. No need to remove heads or any of that "safety" stuff. Airlines also will cover damage. The drawback is there is only room for your golf bag. Other posters have stated one can add shoes or other items into a soft case. Not really an option with a hard case.

Guess it depends on the size of your bag. I use the Players 4 Carbon and it fits in my smaller SKB case with room for a pair of shoes and the rain gear. I even have room towards the top around the clubheads to add my zip bag full of liquids so I don't have to hassle with them through the airport security check.

    That's a good point. I have a Sun Mountain C-130 and it's pretty big.

Sounds like most are on SKB, does anyone have experience with the soft bag on the Titleist website?

Titleist now offers their bags as both the large and collegiate versions manufactured by Club Glove with the Titleist logo. No better soft bag in the business if you go the soft bag route.

I have used the Titleist club glove travel bag for years and haven’t had any issues. Wrap my towel and rain gear in and around the clubheads before putting on the rain hood along with a Club Gove stiff arm has treated me well over the many year of flights. When the leaders of their respective categories collaborate on a product, you know that you are in good hands.

Club Glove for me - definitely get the Club Glove Stiff arm. My Club Glove Stiff arm came back to me bent but all my clubs made it back safely. I do take my driver head on the plane with me.

Just my opinion: my clubs have traveled via checked baggage, shipsticks, and the good ole USPS. I bought a SKB hard case about 8 years ago and it has made it amongst all of these trips with zero issue. The latest tour was from Charlotte, NC to Germany and they were shipped with shipsticks, they arrived in a few days and again, zero issue. I have thought about switching to a soft case so that I may fit my shoes and a few extra things in there, but so far, that SKB case hasn’t given me a reason to switch just yet. I will say though, soft cases really do have the upper hand when it comes to traveling in a car or when it comes to storage….this thing can be clunky when not storing my bag.

I have a hardshell case that I admittedly had to “shell” out some $ for and while it is cumbersome and heavy, I’ve not had a single issue with traveling with my clubs. It has enough room to wrap some of my clubs with a towel and include a par of shoes and a few pairs of clothes inside. I also have a buddy who had a soft travel bag which was destroyed by 1 flight, ripping the bag. My advice, pay the money and get a hardshell. The cons are outweighed by your Titleist investment being more than adequately protected.
  11. Club glove with a stiff arm is the way to go. Traveled to Scotland in 2019 with that setup and had no issues.

SKB hard case. I’ve traveled around the US and twice to Scotland with no issues. The guys in the group don’t like it because it does take up more space but I don’t care because I know my clubs are safe.
I had a hinge break on my last one and I contacted SKB and they said to get it to them and they would inspect and repair or replace, whichever was necessary. Fortunately I only live an hour from them and drove it down one day. They took it in back to look at it and came back out 20 minutes later with a piece of paper that I was to take to their warehouse down the street for a new case. My old case was 8 years old, I had no receipt, and had bought it off TGW.com. This is proper customer service and backing up your product.

Soft for sure! travelled many times with my bag, can’t imagine how hard it would be to get something that big into a cab if it was a hard case

Weather the case is a hard or soft shell, I always ensure I have travel insurance that will pay out of the clubs are damaged, stolen or lost by the airline.

For those of you that use a hard case, do you still remove the heads from the driver, 3w, hybrids along with a Stiff Arm?

    Just curious.

Nope but I do wrap a golf towel around the iron heads to keep them from banging into each other and/or bouncing around loosely if they manhandle my bag in and off the airplane or the luggage claim.

I've traveled several times and have always had success with my soft ClubGlove case. I make sure to weave/wrap towels between the irons and remove driver head. I also have a stiff arm to add a bit of cover. The soft case is easier to store once you get to the hotel and then again when going back to the airport. I just think they are easier to travel with in general.

I have traveled with Dale V and seeing his hardcase I think I will be in the market for one. I have the clubglove soft case I as Dale witnessed if the airlines leaves your bag out in the rain everything inside is wet for days.

The SKB case is a must for me. Sorry Titleist it’s the only golf item that isn’t from titleist. It just makes me feel better traveling with my $6k worth of Titleist gear…

Slap a Titleist sticker on that hard case

I added Titleist stickers to my SKB to kinda make it a Titleist case.

Strange. Wonder if they coat them now with something. Mine have been on there for a couple of years now. I think Chuck has stickers on his too. Maybe clean the spot with rubbing alcohol first to clean off any oily residue. I have the Team Titleist golf bag sticker near the handle and the oval Titleist sticker on the bottom end of the case.

I've always used the club glove Titleist soft shell bag with the stiff arm stick and have yet to run into problems (knock on wood). Only recently have I started removing the heads on my driver and woods and honestly feel a little bit more comfortable.

The soft cases work well. After years of traveling with my Club Glove I can honestly say I have had no damages. Towels, shoes and dirty clothes can be added to the bag too. Enjoy your trip.
  27. I use soft sided, and take the heads off the woods then put the shafts in the bag upside down. I also use those soft sided insulated bags for extra protection and use them as a ice chest when I get to the destination.

I have a Club Glove Burstproof bag. It is a bit old, but, it still works.
