I don't think we can call it the greatest upset in sports history. It was an incredible comeback but not an upset. And as far as comebacks go, I believe the Euros comeback was from the same deficit in 2012. I would say the Buffalo Bills comeback against the Houston Oilers in the Wild Card round in the early 90's was a better comeback. The US over Russia in the '80 Olympics was a better upset.

As I live halfway between Pittsburgh and Erie, I am partial to Oakmont outside of Pittsburgh as my favorite US Open venue.

There are so many wonderful golf courses throughout our country, but those of us who live in the Chicagoland area have been ignored by the PGA and USGA. From the beginning of the tour, Chicago always played an Integral part of the tour. The Western Golf Association for nearly 100 years played host to the Western Open and the tour took that away and gave us a crumb occasionally allowing the BMW to be here. Joe Jemsek "The father of Public Golf" Bled all his life with one hope, the USGA hosting an open on one of his courses, He spent his money to totally rebuild Dubsdread with that hope and the poor man died without it. Chicago and Joe's Memory deserve the USGA to bring its OPEN here to Chicago, hell if they play at Whistlers Straights and Bethpage, Cog Hill's Dubsdread definitely deserves a shot!

Since I was raised in Northern California and my dad taught me about the West Coast bias, my vote would be for Pebble Beach.
