    I recently spoiled myself and installed a synthetic chipping and putting green in my garden (see pics). It's really helped keep my short game together over the winter.

    None of my rationalizing has helped sooth the wife's view that the cash could have been better spent.

    What's your biggest golf investment? And how did you get it past your head of finance?

    Great for 60 yards and in, needs to bed in a little before it will be a great putting surface

    Head of finance -love it!! My biggest investment, other than club membership, has only really been new clubs. Love the look of the chipping green. I would love one but your garden looks a little bigger than mine!

    My clubs are definitely the single biggest expense, which were a gift from my wife a few years ago. Nice looking short game area you have there!

    Complete overhaul of my clubs this year. New Driver 917D2, 3 Wood 917 F3, 816 H2, 716 AP1, 4 SM6 and a Scotty Cameron placed in a Titleist staff stand bag. Also threw in a few dozen assorted Titleist golf balls. All I need now is the Team Titleist bag tag ;)

    It's really helped get my short game back in shape, play off 8 but have struggled over the summer, shot a 76 (6 over par) in a medal on Sunday in pouring rain and iced greens and only hit two greens in regulation. Definately a rapid return on investment so far.

    My biggest investment to date has been my Titleist AP1 and my recently purchased 917D2 driver. The new chipping and putting green look very nice. You are focusing on the most important part of your game.

    I got a skytrak launch monitor, turf mat, and net to hit into. Work a lot of long hours and have cold winters and it has really helped me keep a consistent (not necessarily good) swing

    2016 bought all new 716 AP1 irons 5- AW, new Vokey 56, New 915 D2 driver, 915F, 816H1. new Titleist Cart Bag, since I head up the financing department it went smoooooth. trust me she got stuff for herself so it didn't look one sided. LOL.. Now I'm going to lessons in 2017

    For me my biggest golf investment does not come in equipment or gear.
    I have to say that teaching my son and daughter to play the game of golf for me is priceless. Giving them opportunities to play golf in their youth hopefully will lead to a lifetime of enjoying this game.

    Dr. K... good one, I have twins myself, boy and girl. Both have really taken to the chipping green and when the weather is good are happy to spend and hour or two trying to get up and down. I generally find making into a little competition keeps their interest for a bit longer.

    My biggest investment was getting a Trackman golf simulator. That with a new set of Titleist clubs. She got a new pool!!!
