4 way divider followed by the stand mechanism. I like the stand mechanism on the Staff Stand Bar (no external foot).
  3. If the bag does not sit well while carrying and unloading, that 4 hr round can seem like a 5 hr round. Comfortable bag strap and everything else takes care of it self

More importantly is the ease to which the clubs can slide in and out of the bag. Maybe because I have a little oversized grips, but I'm constantly trying to get my clubs in and out of the dividers. Thanks, Mike!

The dividers are a big one for me. I actually the two way divider as i put my long irons, woods, and putter in the top section and the short irons in the bottom. Splits it up nicely with 7 on top and 7 on bottom. I have the 2014 model of the super lightweight stand bag and I hope I can replicate that set up whenever this one decides it's time to go.

    1. Top Cuff for me, love me some 14 way!
    2. Pockets because I tend to have too much stuff!
    3. Stand to set my bag down!
    4. Strap if I need to carry my clubs!
5, Weight doesn't matter to me as I use a push cart!

Must have a cooler pocket for me to keep a drink cold

I voted stand because I could choose only one, but top cuff would fall in a close second. If stand is not important to people, don't get a stand bag!
  10. Weight (lightest possible) and dividers (3 or 4 with wide mouth opening) are the keys to a great stand bag, IMO.

    Enjoy!

Weight is always the most important thing for me. My back tends to stiffen up on occasion so the lighter the better for me. The new 4 up bag looks good great.

The most important feature is balance when the bag is loaded with all my clubs and accessories (i.e., ball, drinks, towels, rain suit, umbrella, etc). I have yet to own a Titleist cart bag that did not topple fully loaded when it was free standing (cart bag only). The second most imprtant feature is "full length" club dividers. Far too often I attempt to pull out a club or insert one for that matter and the club gets stuck binding at the edge of partial dividers. Eventually the club grips will get frayed on the bottom end of the grips because of this. Wish more consideration would be given to these issues as it would make it a much better performing bag. Another nice feature would be to design the bag so the clubs do not rattle within the bag. This would eliminate wear and tear on the clubs. If I could find a bag that offered these feature I would go out tomorrow and buy it immediately as it would be the best bag ever made.

    I agree completely.
  16. Ever person has a personal preference to the features they want on their stand bag.
For me the most important is the weight and how it sits on your back fully loaded with your gear.
If its uncomfortable your game will suffer - pockets / dividers / stand mechanisms / looks are all to make things easier - but effect your game - hardly.

The strap is most important to me. Once the straps were adjusted just right the bags weight became balanced on the shoulders, makes me walk with a straight posture and actually makes my back feel good. I have a Staff Stand Bag in it's third season of 100+ rounds per year and the durability has been outstanding. My only problem is that I use Golf Pride Jumbo grips, they do make it hard to get clubs in and out, course those thick grips are a chore even when I'm using my full size staff bag.

That's a tough questions for me, because it's a little of all of it. That's why I've had so many Titleist Lightweight stand bags; the best "total package" out there. Well organized top dividers, appropriate and thoughtful pocket placement, comfortable straps that carry well, and light weight. Plus Titleist products always seem to be really high quality regarding fit and finish. Truly "the symbol of excellence in golf."

Weight, but not to be overlooked is the comfort feature. Stand bags give way to cart bags until we get to the walking season which in my case is November through April. The rest is superfluous.

Honestly, this was a tough choice. Dividers, pockets, weight or strap.
I replaced my carry bag just over a year ago. I looked at so many bags, features, etc that it was like buying a new truck. If this bag had the divider I likes the strap system sucked or vice-verses. Or pocket arrangement was not convenient. I also use a push cart at times and how the bag fits there is another factor.
Good question - I could have answered a couple of the choices.
  25. I will say that dividers come in a close second. I will not but a bag unless it has a 5 chute (?) divider system. I rejected a Titleist bag this winter because it had 3. I will not even look at a bag with more than 5 dividers. I walk and carry.
