Pro V1X for me... I have a mid 95-97 mph swing speed with the driver so this ball helps me get the right amount of spin and height to keep he ball in the air as well as great spin to hold greens with all my irons. Also love the soft click on all my shots.

    ProV1x for me
  3. I have played the Pro V1x more over the last couple of years, but I have recently switched to the Pro V1 because I feel more comfortable with the softer feel. Long live "Yellow Ball".

I was playing the ProV1 for the last few years. went to an outing where they gave each player a sleeve of ProV1x, I was surprised at the difference to say the least; have been playing the X ever since, and luv it.
Again, just went to an outing and received a sleeve of Tour Speed, anxious to try these out this weekend; have heard good things about them.
  5. I am a natural pitcher of the ball when I am near the green, the drop and stop is most important for my game.
The Pro V1X works for me.

I tested Pro V1, Pro V1x, Left Dash and AVX last fall and for me it ended up being the AVX, I got a little more distance because of the roll out on the driver and with my T200 Irons I am hitting the ball longer with better proximity to the hole. My index is down 1 complete stroke since I made the effort to test the balls and I am enjoying playing the AVX about 90% of the time. The other 10%, I work as a marshall at two golf courses and I do find a ton of balls and try others but end up always going back to the AVX.

This spring I tried the Maxfli Tour, and the Tour X as well as the new TM balls and still like the AVX the best. One of the things that I have found using and testing balls myself was that when I start chipping, the titleist balls react the best for short shots. I can get any of the titleist balls closer to the pins when I miss a green than any of the other balls. Rough, or fringe, or fairway they seem to respond better than the others.

Love the high ball flight and enhanced roll out of the left dash. Also a good feel off the irons not firm as you might think.

I’m a 15 handicap 70 year old, I like the Prov1x the best, but use the “Tour Soft” because of the price point (hey I on a fixed income) and get great results……my two cents

I play the Pro V1 in yellow.
  10. Did a virtual ball fitting a few weeks ago and was sent the V and the Left Dash to compare. The sound of the V is more pleasing but the results in both distance off the driver and the slightly longer carry off of the irons of the Dash is tough to beat. Stickin with the Dash.

Was fit for the ‘19 Pro V1 and have been using since. Was given some of the new ‘21 Pro V1’s, there a bit soft for my liking and could use either some more height or spin in the mid irons. After speaking to Titleist rep last weekend I’m testing left dash Pro V1x for a bit more height and therefore steeper landing angle. Either way you go, cannot go wrong with Titleist.
  12. I was a V1x player for years. When they shifted the playing characteristics of the V1 and V1x, I shifted over to the V1. A few years ago, I had a Titleist rep hand me a sleeve of AVX before they had hit the market and I absolutely fell in love with them. Thank you Titleist for making them high via yellow. Last season, I was given a sleeve of the —V1x and I’ve fallen for it hands down. Now just make it in a high vis yellow so that I can see it better when it flies waaaayyyy down the fairway.

I have absolute confidence in all the ProV lineup, no matter which one I play. I still maintain a +2HCP and hit my age a few times each year in the low 60s. I rarely lose a ball, so I play them until they show their wear, then they’re relegated to practice or given to my friends (who lose a lot of balls).

If you don’t have confidence in your equipment (that includes the ball), then how are you going to score low? I look down at my personally marked ball and know that it’s going to give me the exact flight that I want it to give me. And no doubt, the ProV line is fabulous off the tee, on the approach and around the green where the scoring happens. There is nothing quite like watching that ball stop and drop—if it doesn’t, then either I need to go back and practice or it’s not a Titleist.

BTW, I give the competing golf ball companies a chance to take away the crown. I do it every year, but nope, I’m still playing the ProV.
  13. Been playing left dash for a while. Great ball but just to firm for me. I changed to AVX, what a great ball. Feel awesome around the green and long off the tee.
  14. I was a Prov1x player until earlier this year Titleist was doing ball fittings at my course and I found out the AVX was better for me.
  15. I had played some great rounds with the old Yellow NXT -s. Loved that ball was great for for my game and the price was even better. I ordered 10 doz when they stopped producing them…. When I ran out I ask the pro what to play he directed me to the AVX and I shot my lowest round ever. Only the yellows though. I know they are the same but the yellow just holds up and plays better.
  16. A ball fitting a couple of years ago recommended I use Pro V1x. I have enjoyed the extra spin around the green (relative to Pro V1) for a while, but my swing has changed a lot in the last year. I probably need to consider returning the Pro V1. The left dash is also intriguing so maybe I should just start over!

Playing a yellow Pro V1 this weekend.

I played the V1x and AVX for the last three years or so. I found with my approach shots, the 1x would spin back on the greens, unfortunately sometimes more than I expected. I would, however, use the 1x when the I knew the pin was up front. I would aim for the middle and let the ball come back to the pin. I always thought the PRO-V1 had the most spin but heard the V1x had assumed that role a few years earlier. The AVX, although longer with irons, rolled out more than I expected. Little to no spin but I would play the AVX when the pin was in back. I just played the V1 this past weekend for the first time in about three years and found the ball would hop and stop. I like that. Great off the driver as well as with the irons. I now see the V1 as having the benefits of both the V1x and the AVX. I'll play the V1 for a while.

Through fittings, I moved to the 21 x, I’ve had a chance to try the left dot. I didn’t jump at the chance as if Garcia and Scott use the ball, how could it work for a low speed/older golfer? Finally gave it a chance and surprise, I’ve liked the flight window and the reduced spin seems to counter my fade better. Will be doing more testing including a portable launch monitor on course comparing it to the -x. I was using it on a narrow course with water and 5+ inch rough and was using prior generation V’s.. 2+ balls lost is barely average.
With my preliminary expectations, the only drawback is I know limited production lines will not be offered in both white and yellow. On overcast days playing with other seniors the yellow color is valuable.

Until I can get my hands on a Left Dot, I will tee up the 2021 Pro V1. Love everything about the ball. The flight in Kansas wind off the tee & long irons is great, great stopping power on the greens & wonderful spin off my Vokey wedges around the greens. Last but not least, soft feel while putting the ball into the hole.

But still intrigued by the Left Dot...........

Was fitted for my Prov1s years ago and never looked back. Why change if it ain't broke. Consistency and accuracy is the key to a good round of golf. At 75 a little distance helps also and the Prov1 delivers, with a little help from my TSID3 10.75 (Fujikura Speeder 661 Tour Rated Stiff). On my fixed income, I purchase in the spring when they have their buy three get four dozen. Great deal and price.
