Just saw this article on golfwrx, thought some might want to read it...

Tried the EXP01 last fall and really liked it, but I'm not sure I'll switch from the Pro V1x to the Tour Speed.

Got really lucky today. Titleist sent me a sleeve of the new "Tour Speed" ball along with a cool homework assignment. Get to test out the balls and return a review. Weekends looking good.

Awesome, perks of being a TT member. Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for sharing as it's funny that I just read that article about 1/2 hour ago. I like the side stamp (not that I use one) and the write-up makes it seem like a solid choice for a 3-piece.
  7. I really like Tour soft...definitely intrigued enough to pick up a dozen speeds this week and give them a whirl. I’m with the popular vote though that nothing beats a fresh BP3 Prov1

Im a little disappointment in the price. I thought they would com in around $30. I know that they are urethane but I doubt I will buy any. Love my AVX balls.

If you didn't try the EXP01s when they initially came out, then before you dismiss this ball because of the price you need to get at least a sleeve and try them. I think you will find that at $40 the Tour Speed is being priced correctly.

I totally agree. The price is right.

I have been using the 2018 Tour Soft, and I am looking forward to using the Tour Speed.

As much as the price is relevant, I consider that the most important point is to find a ball that matches your game.

Some people prefer AVX, others opt for ProV1 or PROV1X.

As I said before, I am a Tour Soft and I will definitely buy a dozen to try them out.

Hoping they make these in yellow, my eyes aren't what they used to be!

I've found the best contrast is white on green. Do you truly find a yellow ball to be easier to see?

I agree with others about getting them in yellow. Id even take lime green

I was less than impressed with my sleeve, but I'll save my comments for official discussion once it pops up. I don't believe the issues that plagued the EXP-01 were resolved.
  17. Love to try all your balls! However how about a test package of two..for say $5... just not wild about a $30 test. Of a new ball! Your competitors do this all the time!

All Titleist retailers should carry individual sleeves of balls for this exact reason. Check your local pro shop next time you check in for a tee time.
  19. At first I was really taken by the feel. Very soft! Off the tee and from fairways I could feel the shaft squeeze through the ball. Stop and drop. (See pic) Around the greens it had the checking trait I’m familiar with in the PROV1/X variety. Trajectory was as expected in the mid to high measure. Overall a superior product and more importantly of a value to golfers moving up in their game. Winner!

Im curious if this is the same cover material as the EXP. I played quite a few rounds with the EXP and the cover didn't last very long on wedge shots compared to the ProV1.

    Sticking with my TourSofts.
  22. Why the crazy alignment line? I hated the Tour Soft line. I hate this one more.

I agree on the crazy alignment line, Id prefer just a straight line or nothing at all

Anybody have any thoughts on these, yet? Looking to move my son into a different ball- he just can’t quite get the distance with the spin on the Pro V1. I wanted to read some thoughts before I $40 for him to try a ball, though.

He’s hit the Exp, and it helped a bit with distance, but I’ve read the ball has been modified a bit since the Exp tests.

I've played the AVX for a year and a half. I can flight it low or high and am pleased with the green side control as, for me, it's as controllable as the Prov1. Still, who doesn't want more distance? I'll have to try the Tour Speed once it arrives at our club.

If anyone has payed it, what are your opinions on the distance and green side control?
  27. Enjoyed the EXP 01 - can't wait for the TOUR SPEED

Played the Tour Speed ball this weekend and was surprised by it. It felt softer on the putter and around the greens than I expected. We have had lots of rain this week so it was hard to tell how the spin is on short irons due to greens being so soft the even a 5 iron would stick when it hit. Flight was higher than my current ball with mid irons and fairway woods. The distance with the driver was very similar with a few drives that were longer than normal. All in all I am shocked at how much I liked the overall performance and feel this is a ball I would purchase.
