A few years back I was at Southbridge Golf Club in Savannah, GA with my boss and a customer. We get to #11, a Par 3, 178 yards into the wind. My boss asked what I was going to hit and I showed him my 1-iron and he says "a 1-iron, even God can't hit a 1-iron!". I put a good swing on it, it flies straight as an arrow, takes a couple of bounces and my ProV1 rolls into the hole for an ace. I immediately retired my Titleist 1-iron as it's the best shot I will ever hit with that club!

A few years ago, I hit my ProV1x into the cup with a fairway wood from 245 out at Ted Makalena Golf Course for an albatross!
  3. Best shot I’ve ever hit was my second shot on a par 5 520yd hole in Orlando. I was 240+ out and hit my ProV1 with a three iron that hit a goose on the green and rested about 3 inches from the cup. Goose lived and I made the putt. Wish it had been an eagle that was on the green.
  4. Mine was 9/3/2014 at Carnoustie in Scotland. Hole number 16 Barry Burn. Tom Watson says it is "the hardest par 3 in golf." That day it was playing into the wind (nothing surprising about that it is Scotland) and the hole is up hill. The tee of the day was at 245. I hit my driver with all I had and landed on the front right edge of the green. No better feeling than that. By the way I did manage to two putt for the par and the Highlight of my trip.

Do you have a shot that stands out as the best you've ever hit? Fill in the blank and let us know by adding a reply below...

For me, the best shot I hit in recent memory with my Pro V1x was a 2-footer for par on the 18th hole of The Old Course. While the shot itself wasn't anything spectacular, the culmination of that magical experience will be hard to beat for me.

I am a low handicap player, using the Pro V1X ball, and a couple years ago, I golfed a local course and was going to leave after 9 holes. One of the members I was golfing with said 'you can't go' .... why I asked - he said, I had shot a 31. Didn't believe it, and I was not tracking a score (but he was) - I played the following 9 with my partner and the 4 guys in front of us only to shoot another 31. A 62, never imagined.....never. They made it fun to remember

The following week, I shot a 72......and I was using a Bridgestone B330. Must have been the ball! ha

Boulder Pointe in Oxford, MI - Great Course!

  7. /Users/michaelshaw/Desktop/IMG_0278.jpg On The Club at Ibis Legend course's 495yard 17th hole, I hit a 230 yard 3-wood for a double eagle. The shot was made on March 25, 2010. One of the witnesses was Mike Holzer. On March 23,2020 I was playing with Mike Holzer for only the 3rd time since my double eagle. On Ibis' Heritage course that day, I hit a 6 iron from 165 yards to a back left pin location. The shot went in for my 1st ever hole-in-one. I think I need to play more golf with Mike Holzer.
  8. I haven’t always played Pro V1 on every round but my three hole-in-ones were all Pro V1 with an 8 iron and all three backed into the hole. One was a shotgun start and first shot of the day

I remember fondly playing Butler National GC for the first time with my best friend, who had just joined the club. I aced the par three 8th hole with a five iron. As I don't remember it as the best shot I ever hit with a Pro V, The memory is indelible. If you have any interest in hearing about the worst shots I've ever hit with a Pro V, I have more of them.

West Warwick Country Club, Hole #1, Par 4, 419 yards. 3 Wood from about 200 yards, left to right to avoid the front trap, hit front of the green, took the slope and rolled into the hole. Very few eagles on any par 4, so this was very special. No one saw it because of the bunker’s lip. ProV1.
  12. About 2 years I was playing at Olympia Fields. It was an uphill par 5. Playing my ProV1x I hit a good drive. I had to go to the top of the hill to get my line then go back down to my ball. I had 260 yds to the green. I hit a good 3 wood, looked up and watched it going directly over my aim point with a baby cut toward the green. When I reached the top of the hill the green came in to view. My ball was 1 inch away directly behind the pin. We don't know how it got where it was without going in. That's the closest I ever came to an albatross and the easiest eagle I ever made.
  13. The best shot I’ve ever hit with my ProV1X was at Turtle Bay’s Fazio Golf Course on the North Shore. It was a short 311 yard hole. I hit my driver 250 yards leaving me with a 60 yard shot to the green. Using rental clubs, I didn’t have my trusty 60 degree wedge. I had to settle for the rental. So, I lined it up and hit it up. The green is elevated and guarded by sand. So, I didn’t actually see where it landed until I got on the green and saw my ProV1X in the cup for birdie. That’s they way I like to finish a round.

Made a hole-in-one with a witness on the 17th hole at Firestone CC North from the back tee 217 yards over the lake using a 3 wood! I fell off the tee box I was so excited.

I'd have to say my best shot with a Pro V1 was a hole-in-one I got while playing with all three of my sons! I hit a 4 iron on a downhill 210 yard hole. Sweet moment for my sons and me.

Loved reading about all the shots, do this more please!

Mine has to be a low percentage shot in a work tournament about 6yrs ago but still just sticks out to this day. Scene? Just finished the front, and unimpressively, as my playing partner and I both are former college golfers. Having to go low on back, I start off by pulling the ball left from the tee on the Par 5, 10th. With 233yds left and having to hit a punch/ cut through the only opening of trees about 200yds away, while keeping the ball down to less than 20ft. Only, the Pro V1x would have given me the confidence to attempt. Making the rarely executed shot even better, didn’t expect to make the green, so the ball rolls up to 3-4ft as the group ahead is still walking off. The Eagle started what would be an eventual 32 on the back and my buddy and I won our work tournament by 1 shot. We have defended successfully every year since!! He doesn’t even work there anymore, but they keep letting him play until we lose . Thanks Team Titleist
  18. I had my first ace 2 years ago this month at 57 yrs of age (now 59). Red Mountain Ranch Country Club, Mesa, AZ, 15th hole, 175 yds, 7 iron hitting a Pro V1x into small wind, blue flag tucked in the back of the green. The 15th is NOT a hole a person normally would ace. Take a look at it - railroad ties in front right and left, false front on both right and left, hole in back of elevated green, bunker 5ft from right of green at hole location. Tough but BEAUTIFUL!! (See pic) Great day at the Raiford house. Lol
