In Sacramento, CA, today, 31 women who volunteer their time mentoring beginner golfers were treated to a full day of a golfers paradise! Titleist swag bag, clinics on putting, chipping, and full swing taught by Haggin Oaks’ top teaching staff, Vokey wedge demos, and a fascinating seminar on the physics of golf ball performance given by one of Titleist’s own aeronautic engineers. We learned about how a golf ball’s dimples reduce drag and that a dimple depth change of a 10,000th of an inch can cause a significant change in the quality of ball flight. I personally gained a new appreciation for how much detailed R&D go into the making of Titleist’s equipment.
A delicious lunch was followed by a fun 9-hole scramble and if that wasn’t enough, the day was topped off by an awards ceremony with appetizers and drinks!
Titleist’s message was clear - that their gear and products are for every golfer and not specific for any skill level, age or gender.
Thanks for a perfect day, Titleist and Haggin Oaks!
