  1. I got more distance with driver and roll out on punched greens. Love the feel and rolled true off the putter. Playing the 348 this weekend in a tournament. Looking forward to the consistency I always get from ProV1 and 1x.

I have always played the Prov1 ball and found it to be a reliable distance ball for me. Dependable on and around the greens. Have tested both of the new protos and the 388 is by far outdistancing the 348. I have been stocking up the Prov1x left dash because of it's distance but do believe that the new Prov1 just might be as long or maybe longer off the tee. Both stay in the fairways where I like them. Of course that could have a lot to do with the Indian. I like to think that. Have found the most noticeable distance is with the irons in the 388 protos. It is the fall and our fast greens are not holding with the speed that they are running, but both balls are not showing much roll out.

I agree the 388 prototype outdistances the 348.
  4. I am looking forward to seeing these golf balls and test them one day if I get one to try it out. My question is is these new balls for over 100 mph swing speed? Thanks
  5. I meant under 100 mph swing speed*. Couldn’t find the “edit button”.

As a male and at 76, my golf swing between 90-93. BTW no edit button. Once posted, it stays, as I have found out over the years with my fast fingers..... =)
  7. So what you are saying it is for any player at at level of speed? I am trying to find my ball that I can stick with it. My swing speed is at around 75-80. Thank you! :)

Pro’s may have a club head speed of 110+ mph. But will have much lower speed on a wedge to a green. So there is no requirement for a higher speed to use a Pro-V product. Any speed off of driver under 90 mph may have issues maximizing launch for distance. Starting choices could include the X (higher launching than V or AVX, or for a softer feel, DT TruFeel. Still start on short game for response/feel and work backwards to tee.
My head speed is in the low 80’s. I’ve tried Tour Soft and Velocity. Still find better scoring with the X. Reaching greens in regulation is hard with my distance and controlled run out with a urethane ball gives me a better chance of getting up and down.
So have fun finding the best ball for you to get in the hole in the least amount of strokes.

  9. I think I am going to try out the AVX and Tour Speed. :)
