  1. Hi guys,

    I just started the new season with T150 Irons 5 to P (44) and added the Vokey 48 F. All these irons have the Nippon Modus 105 S. The additional Wedges have 54D and 58M (S200) to complete the set.

    I'm still wondering about the length differences, which I definetly feel as I had the T100S 48 from last season in my bag:

    * Titleist T150 P 44° = 35,75" * Titleist T150 W 48° = 35,50" (not in my bag) * Vokey SM10 48° = 35,75" * Vokey SM10 54° = 35,25" * Vokey SM10 58° = 35,00"

    Question is: Why is the SM10 48° 0,25" longer compared to the T150 iron with the same 48° loft? I can feel the difference. -- Would you "leave as it is" or better measure the gapping with a trackman to decide if the SM10 48° may be trimmed by 0,25" to bring back my old gap wedge length feeling?

    Thank you for your comments!

    Simple answer is to fit more people off the rack. Most players will use standard length irons or +1/2", so wedges at that length will tend to fit the vast majority golfers. Same reason they put S200 shaft in them, it will work for most golfers right off the rack.

    That said, get what works for you. If you're more comfortable with shorter length, trim it to length that fits your swing.
