I'm going to Palm Springs for a few days mid-April and wondering which wedges and bounce combinations I should take. I have a 54.10 M grind; a 54.14 F grind andI have a 58.08 S grind; a 58.04 L grind and a 58.11 K grind. Love them all but don't know what kind of conditions I will be playing in. Any advice?

  2. Every course is different. The last time I was with Bob Vokey, I had him make up two sets of wedges for me...one set of soft turf wedges and one set of firm turf wedges. The soft turf wedges include more bounce such as 8 or 12 degrees, the firm turf wedges have low bounce wedges like 2 or 4 degrees. Palm Springs can have either, check with the course(s) you will be playing at relative to their turf conditions. IMHO

I would just take them all with you and see what conditions you get, try them all on the range if its grass and pick from there. Just stick the spares in the car

Rob, I play desert golf. Definitely low bounce group. Have fun. Bring sunscreen and hydrate! Should be a great time of year to play!
