I have a 56.14 SM5 sand wedge with an F grind. I just recently re-shafted the club to match my AP1 graphite irons. In that set I have 6 iron through 52 degree wedge. I like the feel of the 56 with the graphite shaft. My dilemma is to find another SM 5 wedge that will give me the best results on short chips around the green. I struggle with wedge play and especially on short chips when the ball is sitting down in higher grass or on uneven lies. My typical miss is to dig into the ground with the leading edge. Sometimes I double hit the ball. The AP1 52 W doesn't work so well for me on chip shots.Would a 52 or 60 Vokey work better for me & with what bounce / grind? Or would I be better off using a 58 for the short chips & sand shots too as I don't have room in my bag to add a 60? I'm from Florida & play on mostly medium to softer conditions due to all the rain we get down here.
