  1. Working on finalizing a trip to take my son and his grandfather (there will a total of 4 of us) out to Pebble & Spyglass in late June. Any suggestions on where to stay nearby? Want to be reasonable price, but nice, so not necessarily looking for cheapest either. Thanks in advance!

Pebble Beach requires a minimum 2 nights stay in order to book a tee time. There are days when they require a minimum 3 night stay. You can try calling reservations as I’ve had friends that were able to book tee times ahead of time without staying on property because of a really nice reservation agent. This doesn’t occur very often. If you were a single most people can get a tee time if you call 24 hours ahead of time. Spyglass, you’ll be able to get tee times without staying on property. I only live about 1 1/2 hours from PB so we’re in the area a lot. There are a lot of nice places to stay that are cheaper than PB

Here’s a few places where we’ve stayed if we don’t stay at The Inn At Spanish Bay. Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa. Some of the rooms overlook the harbor or ocean. You can walk to Cannery Row. Quail Lodge, about 10 minutes from downtown Carmel. It’s very peaceful and we usually get a bungalow room which has no one above you and a nice patio. The rooms can overlook the lake or fairways. There’s also a tough 9 hole putting green within the property. Quail Lodge Golf Course is within walking distance and the course is always in pristine condition. Hyatt Regency Monterey overlooks Del Monte Golf Course and isn’t expensive. Cypress Inn in Carmel was owned by Doris Day and you can walk around Carmel and is 10 minutes away from Pebble. Mission Ranch in Carmel is historic and is owned by Clint Eastwood. The restaurant overlooks a pasture with lots of sheep grazing. Munras avenue in Monterey has a lot of motels and some hotels which aren’t too expensive.
  4. Thank you! That information was very helpful! We finalized booking on everything today. Part of The Lodge will be under construction while we are there, so we are staying at inn at Spanish Bay for 3 of the nights and tee times at Pebble, Spyglass and Spanish Bay and then headed to Monterey Plaza for a couple of nights and looking at playing Pasatiempo as well. Can’t wait!

You may want to consider buying a Duke’s Club membership for $575. This will give you discounts at Spyglass, Spanish Bay or Del Monte Golf Course. Spyglass is $495 & Duke’s is $285 and you can bring three guests for the same price. Spanish Bay is $350 & Duke’s $195 and you can bring three guests for the same price. You also get a nice discount if you wanted to play Del Monte. A Duke’s membership also gets you a free round at Del Monte with cart for you and a guest. $30 in grill bucks good for food at Del Monte Golf course. You get a 25% discount for merchandise at Del Monte as well. You’ll also get 4 complementary rounds at The Hay, Tiger Woods designed 9 hole course. #2 is a replica of #7 at Pebble. The Hay would normally be $300 for four golfers.

Wow, congrats and you'll have a great time! While under construction all of the restaurants in The Lodge are closed, except The Taproom is moving temporarily to Fairway One. My wife and I have stayed at Spanish Bay a number of times over the years and we've always enjoyed our stay. They have outside firepits which are nice and in the evenings you can watch the bagpiper go by. If you like wine, there's Stave's Wine Cellar on property where you can get really great glasses of wine usually only sold by bottles.
