  1. Hey Team Titleist members, planning a trip to Destin,Florida in March and wanted to know your opinion on best golf courses in Destin,Florida or in the area? Somewhere with the best course conditions, not crowded, and awesome practice facilities.

Love Destin! Check out the Sandestin golf courses Raven, Baytowne, and The Links.

Hey Josh! I’m local to that area and would recommend you check out either Kelly Plantation, Regatta Bay or any of the Sandestin Courses (Raven, Baytowne, Links) All of these courses are vacation destination courses so depending on when you’re coming they might be a little busier with spring break travelers. I’m over in the Niceville area and a member at Rocky Bayou. It doesn’t have some of the views you get at one of the Destin courses but last season it was in better shape than any of those courses and hosted US Open qualifiers last spring. I hope this helps and feel free to reach out with any other questions!
  4. I’m coming down March 7th-10th and I was looking for a course that allows walking. So far I have narrowed it down to Emerlad Bay, Indian Bayou, Bay Point in Panama City. The ones you recommended I’ve seen that the greens aren’t up to par and that’s one of the things I’m looking for. Top notch conditions and at least one course that allows me to walk. Also I don’t want a crowded course. Is Rocky Bayou a private course??
  5. The Raven is definitely worth a visit!

Just returned from there. Any of of the Sandestin courses but Raven is my favorite. Also Emerald Bay. Regatta Bay really good and was in good shape. If you don’t mind driving a short distance, Windswept Dunes is a fun track.
  7. I play Destin multiple times/year. Try Indian Bayou -- not as crowded. Other one is Kelly Plantation, more crowded but also a good course. Enjoy.
  8. My favorite golf course in Destin is Kelly Plantation. Great condition, awesome practice range and big challenging greens. Not as crowded as some others. If you are going during the winter months, they have special rates for Snow Birds.

Numerous courses in the area. Sandestin has four, also across the bay near Freeport is Windswept Dunes, always perfect. I also like Regatta Bay. If you can get access to Camp Creek or Sharks Tooth (depends on where you book your lodging) they are nice. As far as I'm concerned none are special, just basic resort courses. You mention "not crowded", not sure you'll experience that, but most rounds at these courses are normally around four-hours.
  10. The raven at sandestin is a great course
  11. I've been going to Destin for probably close to the last 20 years. Kelly Plantation is great, but the last time I checked, it's started to get up there price-wise. I'm not a huge fan of Baytowne, but Raven is pretty solid (they used to host a KF event and they still might - I'm not 100% sure if they still do or not, though). Depending on what part of Destin you're staying in, I would definitely recommend Windswept Dunes. It is a few miles north of Destin, so it's not right on the gulf, but it's a fun course and I think it's one of the best bang-for-your-buck courses in the area.

A place that I'm desperately trying to get on is Camp Creek, which is in between Destin and Panama City. It's private, so you've got to find a connection to get on there, but my family stays in the Rosemary Beach area when we go, so it's only about a mile or so away from us. If you get the opportunity to play there, I would definitely give it a shot. You can't see much of the course from the road, but what you can see does look incredible.

    Good luck!
  12. Kelly plantation is really the best option. One of my favorites across the country.
