    When Team Titleist staff approached me regarding hosting a TT Patriot Golf Day I felt very honored as a veteran and a TT Ambassador. Patriot Golf Day is an opportunity for the entire golf community to come together and honor the sacrifice of America’s heroes. Participation and donations help provide life-changing educational scholarships to families of America’s fallen or disabled military and first responders.     I sent out a teaser a few days ago about doing a one day in Charleston and it did draw a few interested members of the community. Let's fill up the 20 tees times I have reserved for this TT one day event in our fair city. Spring and fall is prime time in this area. Charleston is a number one tourist destination, rates are up and tees times are premium. Kiawah was not even on the table this time of the year. Our site is the number two played course, on the way to Kiawah. It is the #19 rated muni by golf.com in the U.S. What a site for our event. Have a YouTube video (one of many available) for you to look at and think you will agree worth the effort and guarantee will test your skills. Find it humorous as well as informative. TT Patriot Golf Day at the MUNI, built in 1929, but the renovation in 2020 is a killer, Seth Raynor style. Think you will get the message. The course should be in great condition, because the Men's City Amateur Championship is May 19th - 21st.

    Tuesday, May 23rd, Charleston Municipal Golf Course, THE MUNI - Five tee times beginning at 11:24am - Cost $50. Includes; greens fee/cart, range balls, box lunch (sandwich, chips, Gatorade or soda). - Titleist swag - Closest to pin - FJ shoe bag/FJ socks. - Skins match if interested. Age appropriate your choice of tees (want to make your day fun) - Under 60 - White tees (6090) 131 slope - 61 above - Gold tees (5365) 119 slope

    Thanks for the endorsement, Tyler. You can always hop on one of those C-17s coming this way. Or does the AF not allow that anymore? ha...ha.... thanks for your service, pal.... USAF 65-71 (Athena Airport 66-69)

    Just a reminder that the 15th of May is approaching and that is the deadline for registering for the TT Patriot Day Golf - Charleston, SC - May 23, 2023. Again only two gentlemen from NC have signed up. I have to let the course know by that deadline or we will have to cancel. They have given us a really great rate for the event. Normal rates for out of town guests run $80, not including range balls and lunch. The opportunity to support this great cause with your presence and to play one of the top 50 municipal courses in the US as rated by golf.com. Time is running out. Thanks for considering this event.     I really want to but the timing is awful with my daughter graduating from university. I am sorry I can't make it this time but the next time I get back to Charleston, I will send you a note to see if we can catch a round!

    The event has been canceled due to lack of participation. With regrets, we only had three people sign up. =(
