Just got back from Tobacco Road

    I stopped and played Tobacco Road on my way back from Florida, it was amazing. The course was immaculate, very hard, but fair. Each hole has its own character, just a very cool course to play. The staff there were all very good, made for a great day of golf, I am definitely going back.

    It is one of my favorite courses and glad you enjoyed it. If you've never been you'd have no idea what awaits. I never get tired of playing there.

    Great place to play !! I really enjoyed my round at Tobacco Rd but be ready for alot of blind shots.... .. Hope to go back someday !! If you can , you need to play Dormie Club !! Definitely recommend this true hidden gem !!

    Glad you it enjoyed it! Awesome course along with nearby Tot Hill Farm designed by Mike Stranz. My favorite Stranz course, however, is Caledonia Golf and Fish Club in Pawleys Island, SC.

    Had friends from New England down to visit us in Pinehurst. They loved playing Tobacco Road, Pinehurst 2 & 4 over 3 consecutive days. They had never seen a course like Tobacco Road.

    It's a masterpiece.

    Most of Strantz's designs are publicly accessible. I encourage you to play the others as well. He was simply a genius.

    I would agree with this. Caledonia in Pawley's Island, SC is one of my favorite courses. True Blue right next door also has a lot of fun holes as well. Strantz was taken way before his time. I would have loved to have seen more of his design work.

    Got a gift card for Christmas, so i will definitely play there again in the spring. I will also try the other courses close to there mentioned in this thread.

    Headed down to play TR at the end of March. Very to excited to see this mystical place. First time to the Pinehurst area.

    Played TOT Hill Farm last February in the cold on a trip to PineHurst. We are going back in July to play Tobacco Road and PineHurst again in the HEAT!
