  1. My wife and I will be in Orlando in October, and convinced her to go a couple days earlier than the rest of the family so I can play Bay Hill! We've got our lodge reservations, and I can't book tee times until 6 months out, so I've got another month for that.

I know many of you have probably played here, so give me some insight! What are some must-do's or things to stay away from (outside of the obvious repair divots and ball marks, be respectful, tip the forecaddie, etc). According to the front desk, I'm playing the week before the member-guest, so the course will be in the second best shape of the year. Thanks guys!

Pretty much like every other private club. Tuck in your shirt and don't wear a hat indoors. Great place, nice golf course... enjoy it.

Yep, no worries with that sort of thing. Thanks!

Enjoy your time at By Hill. I did not find the place stuffy at all.

The restaurant on the resort was pretty good. The pesto was very solid.

    Play Well!

I live here in Orlando and I am lucky enough to have played Bay Hill numerous times. I think the best advice is just enjoy the round. Don't get hung up on trying to have a career round out there. It is a tough course even on normal days, let alone a tournament set up. The staff is really awesome out there, make sure to carve out a little tip for them, as they don't make a ton working in golf. But I think the best thing you can do is to try and book a later morning or afternoon round. Spend the morning enjoying the amenities. Have a nice breakfast at the restaurant, utilize the locker room, spend some time at the awesome practice facility, and then go out and enjoy the round. If you're playing before the time change, I'd say 11-12 would be the perfect time to tee off. We have awesome weather that time of year and it can make a round of golf into a magical day. Enjoy.
  7. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!!
