TT Event at Pinehurst

    Anyone else get an email about a TT event at Pinehurst in 2021? Looks like a large date range to pick from and you would get to play a round on Pinehurst #2.

    Sound interesting to anyone?

    Just had the discussion with my wife about. She actually thinks it would be a good idea to do in Feb. My luck, the week before it will 65 and sunny and the weekend after we book will be 65 and sunny but the weekend we book will be rain and 40. Looking forward to it.

    Sean, it's not really an event. It's an opportunity. A window where Pinehurst is giving TT members a special deal. You pick your dates within the window and go solo or get your own group together. They did it last year too. If you didn't get the email, you could probably call Pinehurst and ask for the deal.

    Thanks Dale. When I dug into the email and realized the date range I figured it was an “opportunity”. A buddy and a I are seriously considering going toward the end of January (assuming we get the wives signatures on the permission slips).

    Played 5 of the 9 courses in 3 days

    It is a awesome experience, I highly recommend it.

    My guess is you would need to reach out to the resort and in your case your airline regarding their policies related to COVID lockdowns. At this point I have not heard of any nationwide lockdowns.

    Per the Pinhurst website, cancellation window is 14 days, which is pretty generous. Bandon is 30 days I believe.

    And airlines are doing flights with no rebooking fees. So looks like pretty low risk.

    It's always fantastic just to hang around the clubhouse "people-watching". Grabbing a drink and a chair on the veranda and watching folks finish on #2 is fun and walking thru the building viewing their mementoes is akin to visiting a golf museum. The proshop is also fully stocked with all items Pinehurst.
    The temps maybe 45 or perhaps it could be 75...Jan/Feb is an iffy time of year!

    We're playing #2 #8 and the Cradle, plus going to slip in a round at Tobacco Rd.

    If you have extra time while on property I’d highly recommend playing #3 with hickories. It is an absolute blast.

    I just booked 4 nights. Doing the Titleist promo for 2 nights plus the Donald Ross package, 2 nights and 3 rounds of golf.

    Playing 2,4,5,6,7,8 (twice), 9 and The Cradle. They have golf carts so I can do 8 rounds in 5 days. Going to walk #2 with a caddie.

    I have heard great things about Pinehurst, the courses and the property in general. Great thing is there is a direct flight to Raleigh from DFW, and the resort does a shuttle service from the Raleigh Airport. Makes the trip a lot easier.

    A great deal for those who have not had the Pinehurst experience. As a member of the Carolinas Golf Association we are very proud of Pinehurst. A true southern destination.

    Booked it. End of February. # 2, the Cradle and #5, an iron and ball fitting is included and 200 gift card toward the purchase of a new Titleist item. It beginning to look a lot like Christmas...'20 and '21

    I had to book by myself, so going single. I am sure they will put me with other people. Hopefully I will get a chance to meet some other Titleist members.

    Robert- yes, you will be playing with others. Of my 7 rounds on 18 hole courses, 6 are with 2somes or 3somes. Only 18 hole round solo is an afternoon round on course 5, which they said should be pretty open. The reservations team knows what they are doing.

    Since there is such a wide range of dates, you may want to post your dates and course selections here, on the off chance another forum member will have dates over-lapping yours. I've done this event in the past as a father-son trip. Beyond matching you to the package, there is no separate program for anyone using it.

    mmmm.... maybe!! I don't need to ask wife for permission, but if I have to quarantine upon return then I will lose rest of year vacation time... and we have a governor in PA who likes controlling the masses.

    Great choice of courses. I have heard from several sources that #8 may be the best course on the property. And #2 and #4 are not too shabby. I will be there 2/22 through 2/26.
