    This photo from my balcony back in June overlooking The Sandbox....So Much Fun!. Great place! Mammoth Dunes is massive....wide fairways and large greens. Sand Valley course a little more strategic. Hopefully the fairways and greens are running fast and firm! Enjoy!!!

    Hey Dale,

    Always enjoy reading your posts! Somehow I missed the invite to the Sand Valley outing! Are there still golf spots available? I live only a couple hours away and the course is on my bucket list! if there is an opening I would love to join!

    Go to the "Events" link under Team Titleist and click on the event. It shows sold out but you might can be added to the wait list and pick up any last minute drop out spots. It does require stay-over at their facility as part of the package deal. This event was originally planned for May and got bumped out due to COVID so the invitation email and post was way back in March.

    This program was originally posted around February for a May date (?maybe) but due to COVID-19 was moved to October and still on schedule.

    Unfortunately, it is still listed as Sold Out.

    There is generally an announcement in "The Clubhouse" that a next event will be posted. Often you have to decide that you can have the time and money to attend. When the formal TT events are posted for sign-up, they almost always fill up that day. In the case of the 2020 TT Sand Valley program, I don't think it took a full hour. The 2020 TT Invitational at Bandon may have had slots for 3-4 hours before selling out.

    Below the Sand Valley posting in events is the 2020 International TT event at Caso de Campo playing the Pete Dye courses. It was originally in April, 2020, but has been moved to March, 2021. That is the one event still not sold out. Some of the original attendees declined the new date.

    I’m local. If I’m still moving after a 27 hole event at my club, I can make it. Now if I can talk my wife into d.d. it would be perfect.

    Pat, it's not really a tournament, more of an "outing". We play Sand Valley late morning on Sunday, afternoon "special event" by Titleist and/or the Sandbox. Monday morning on Mammoth Dunes and the head home. Might be a bit chilly on the front nine Monday but overall, could have been a much worse forecast. We should be fine and it should be lots of fun. Keep an eye out for future events and maybe you can join us on one of those.

    I should know better than to comment early on the weather. Totally jinxed it. Rain now in for Monday. Bring your waterproofs. Maybe this will reverse jinx it?

    These events are more buddy trips than tournaments. When posted they fill up quickly, but skill is not part of the equation. With all the material in the booty bags, everyone goes home a winner. They don't have a category for me (age group 70+ and LH) so I just go along for the fun of it. Wouldn't miss the opportunity to check off another bucket list location so long as I can complete 18 in a day and make it to the bar in the evening.

    My son Patrick and I had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed it! So happy we made the trip and have some wonderful memories from our overnight stay. Sorry we missed Mammoth Dunes today due to the rain, but now a reason to head back.

    Nice weekend. A little bummed that we were rained out for Mammoth Dunes yesterday. Good excuse to go back and use he “rain check”. Thanks all who attended and hope to see you again at future events.
