  1. Hiya,

Finally being on a golf course and following social distancing rules, how do you celebrate good things with your playing partners?

Buddy and I now do a bottom face "putter bump" for birdies or good par saves, etc.

    You?

I don't know yet, courses open back up here this Friday. Hopefully some good things will happen (even though I doubt it since I haven't played in a while :D) and I can tell you then.

I tip my cap in a sweeping motion. Same thing when the last putt drops on 18.

Calmly smile at the completion of each hole and ready to asses the next hole. Don't get really excited about things

I haven't had the chance to go out since the lock down, but a simple line that says, "nice putt!" or "well done" is always good enough.

When playing, fist bump and a smile. This is South Carolina and not many courses closed. But me still waiting to be cleared by the doctor and to really feel comfortable about the virus.

    We're still on lock down....

"Nice shot peckahead" or "Nice putt picklesmoocha" Gotta keep the good vibes going, all love.

  9. My buddy got a legit hole in one and we just yelled and looked at each other...couldn’t even shake his hand!

Air fist bumps and loud(ish) verbal accolades...

Play mostly with seniors. We're just too lazy to get excited.

I take down a bull like Chi Chi Rodriguez!!!
Swinging a club around like Chi Chi will reinforce the 6 foot rule!!!

    Cheers,

  13. It's nothing to do with the current situation but one of the guys in my group is infamously quiet and stone-faced. Never complains, never celebrates, seldom even says "Good shot". Must have watched Ben Hogan too much when he was a lad.

Last year he holed out from 150-something yards for an eagle. He just put hit club back in the bag and started walking. When the rest of the group got all excited and started with the, "Good shot!", "Great shot!" stuff he nodded and said, "Yeah, that was a good one".

So he doesn't really have much of a problem with the social distancing thing, I reckon...
