It's true the yardage was only 72 yards but it's a sneaky hole over water, usually plays longer than the yardage and the pin was on the front of the green. I played last in my group off the tee and having reached hole 17 our group was desperately in need of more skins to compete against the field. A playing partner said, prior to the shot, Dan we need you here. "Let's go!"
Hit a gap wedge and the ball immediately tracked to the pin. Landed 1 foot short and slightly left. Took one hop and spun right. Right into the hole!
This is hole-in-one number 3 for me and the last one was over 10 years ago.
