I was on vacation and we rented a home on Atlantic Dunes on Hilton Head Island where we decided to play a round. I had joked to the marshal at hole 1 about the pin placement for the day as most seemed to be like the Master's on a Sunday, tucked to a back corner behind some traps. So we played holes one and two and at hole two was where our house was so the family came out to see me, my son and son in law as we were rolling through. Well the very next hole, hole number 3, was a 163 yard par 3 that we could only see the top of the flag. I used my Titleist T-300 rental 7 iron and striped a good one about 30 feet short on the left side of the pin with a little draw that decided May 27th 2024 was my day! As we rolled up to the green I noticed the divot and joked with the boys that it had to go in as I did not see it off the back of the green. My son in law went to look and said "It's in the hole" so I ran around screaming for a while and thought to myself, very few ever get this feeling. Sure do wish I could have seen it roll in though.
