After years of "so close" stories and plenty of hole outs from the fairway, I finally recorded my first hole-in-one on 6/14/24. 136 yards, slight down and cross wind right to left, to a tucked back right pin that requires about a 130 carry over a trap, landing on a down slope without much room to the pin. I hit a perfectly flushed 3/4 PW with a little fade into the breeze, it landed on the down slope of the green but since it had good spin, it bounced softly, checked up, and then disappeared.

Since I had birdied 1 and this was 4, I was -3 and focused my attention to the next hole - so much so that with water and high fescue all around, I was so locked in I teed up my HIO ball and pushed it right, into the fescue. Fortunately I found it, hit it, then had to hit a delicate gap wedge over water. And I almost made the putt for birdie - then promptly retired the ball!
