On Thursday, May 2, 2024 I got my first hole in one at The Broadlands Golf Club located at 18 Augusta Way, North Prairie, Wi 53153. I was playing in the second week of our Thursday night Men's league. We play nine holes per week and this week we were on the back nine. I was the last of our foursome to tee off on Hole #18 which was playing 166 yards. I used my Titleist AP2 Tungsten Forged 6 iron. I set up about 10 yards to the right because I play a draw. My ball contact was good and we all watched the ball draw towards the pin. One of my playing partners said, "That shot looks good." The ball bounced just before the green and then rolled about 15-20 feet into the hole. I saw it go in and said, "It went in!" We all high fived and one of my playing partners said, "I'll take another high five." Another said, "That was a beautiful shot." We were all in shock. Afterward, we went into the clubhouse and we were recalling what had just happened. I said, "My Dad, who passed away back in 2011, got a hole in one using a Titleist golf ball and they put his golf ball in a trophy for him. I wish that I would have kept that trophy, but I think it was given away or gone in an estate sale." When I got home I texted family and friends and my sister called me right away. Early in our conversation she said, "I have the trophy from Dad's hole in one. You can have it." What a blessing! Previously I used a set of Titleist DCI 981 cavity backed cast irons, 2-PW, and now my son is using them. I kept the 2 iron and the Titleist 975F 3 wood.
