I managed my first (and probably only) hole in one of my amateur golf career yesterday.
Whilst playing the 8th hole of the par 3 Manor Course at Farrington Park, I chose to hit my 9 iron.
My friend and playing partner - Sam Golden amazingly filmed my shot (something we rarely do.) The ball went into the low morning sun on line and we saw it land but couldn't see it stop due to the brightness of the sun. We both thought we heard the ball contact the pin and began our walk to the green. Sam's ball was pin high to the left but mine was nowhere to be seen on our walk onto the green. I feared it had bounced off the pin into the fringe but toy surprise and delight it was nestled in the cup!!
143 yards in one. I was amazed and so happy!! Sam caught the moment I picked the ball from the cup!
A fantastic experience and something I never felt possible!!
