On February 22 2024 I was out @ 8:30 am playing my dad. I started on hole 10 because the course was a bit busy. My dad is the Pro @ Merango Ridge Golf course in merango IL so we can get out once in awhile for free. It was a lovely day outside and I was ready to play my best! I finished hole ten with a bogey because normally it takes me a hole to warm up. We walked over the hole 11, par 3, 125 yards. This hole sits on an island so water is on both sides making it a bit tricky. I take out my 7 iron swing a few times n then set up. I hit a beautiful baby draw right at the pin. I watched the ball sore as it hits the front of the green and rolls right to pin. Then it disappeared. My dad and I were doubtful for a second then the excitement kicked in. I just realized I got my first hole in one. I was so excited I ran to the hole and saw the ball laying perfectly in the cup where it dropped. It was the best thing that ever happened to me in my 14 year golf career. I will never forget the moment my dad and I watched me get my first hole in one during post season!! What an exciting experience!!
