  1. I’ve always worn FJ golf shoes for the last 20 years, I have some DNA original in 8.5 with BOA & they’re so comfortable after a round or two. So I bought another pair of DNA 2.0 the same size also with BOA, I played 3 full rounds of golf in them now in 18 months, I’ve practiced in them & tried to get them to be comfortable.

They absolutely rip my heal to bits, I’ve never had anything like this before with any golf shoes, I’ve just finished playing today & my right heal is so sore. I don’t know what to do with these shoes, do you think these shoes are badly made, or just a bad one off, I’m really worried now to buy any more footjoy shoes.

I would contact the place where you bought them. I think there's a warranty, but don't quote me on that. Sounds like a defect with the BOA construction for that particular pair of shoes. I have other BOA FJ shoes and haven't had a problem with them. I have 3 pair of the DNA, non-BOA, and I agree, they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I'm very interested in the Pro SL, as I hear they are even more comfortable. Maybe look into the spikeless. Good luck!

I've got 2 pair of the original DNAs that are still in great shape. Absolutely no problems with them; heels of both pair are still in great shape. The fit and comfort were great out of the box and still the same today. I don't know what to tell you - maybe a bad fit or just a bad pair?

There were some differences between he first and second generation of the DNA, both laced and BOA. To me, it appears that the 2nd Gen DNA with BOA that you bought either have a quality issue or are just not the right fit for you. You can always call FJ Customer Service at 800-224-8501 and select Warranty from he phone tree. Speak to them and find out if this is a known issue with the 2nd generation DNA's. They also will be able to advise you on next steps.
From a different perspective, this style of DNA has been discontinued. The current model is the DNA Helix. This new model has a wider base than the previous generations, as well as some other modifications. I suggest you try the new model and see if it meets your needs.

Hey Chris D, I'm totally not getting what and why you are experiencing such a big difference between the two DNA style/product, but the correct place where you should be taking your issue will be at FootJoy's customer service: 800.224.8501

But just to let you know, I have had both the DNA styles you referred to including the HELIX DNA in 8.5 M with regular lacing. All three are equally an amazing pair with great comfort in walking the course. The only difference is that you have boa lacing on both yours which wouldn't make any difference in size and comfort.

I've had boa lacing on many other FootJoy pairs that I have regular lacing on and the size and width has no difference in comfort and its performance.

Go call that number and report to them and good luck.

Speaking as a former shoe tester for New Balance and the swoosh brand, sometimes when a model is tweaked, there are small changes in the last, mid sole or the heal counter. Sometimes, the same shoe is manufactured in two different factories and there can be minute differences. Hopefully you can take the shoe back for an exchange. Foot joy has excellent quality control in its manufacturing process. I’d call this a fluke. P.S. I’ve never worked for Footjoy or Titleist. Good luck.

All FJ shoes are made in the same company owned factory = FYI.

I suspect that you have the wrong size, which will cause friction that leads to blisters.

Then look at SIGNS YOU MIGHT BE WEARING THE INCORRECT SIZE
