I just got a new Deluxe cart bag. It has a lot of great features and seems very well made. I do have one concern. The fabric on the club dividers feels a bit rough. I'm wondering if in time this could wear the finish off of graphite shafts. I believe this is the same fabric used on previous model deluxe cart bags.

there are a lot of forums out there that talk about graphite shaft wear and durability. Overall they state that only extreme heat and cold can alter the shaft, simple rubbing of fabric shouldn't do any damage...and if so there are easy fixes/ coatings to protect. Bottom line is you should be fine, enjoy the season!
  3. Like Joshua B said, you should be fine. Worst case, it gives you a fantastic reason to get new Titleist clubs!

I have had three Titleist 14-Way Lightweight Cart Bags. Divider fabrics are not an issue. Overall, these are great bags. Extremely well-made. And they take a beating. All three of mine each have over 400 days of use, in and out of the trunk daily, have seen all sorts of weather, have had hundred of thousands of clubs slammed in and out, loaded to the gills with all sorts of crap, yet all are still in very good condition. I change them only because I want something new. Not because they are worn.

HOWEVER, the side grab handles at the top of the cuff can cause issues to a graphite shaft if you are not careful in where you place those shafts. The back three openings are fine for graphites. The next 2 rows forward can be a problem if you place a graphite shaft in any of the outside openings, as the shaft can then rub up against the inside of top cuff handle. They may have changed the finish on the newest cart bags--I don't know, I went with a 2017 Titleist mid-staff bag this time--but the 2014 model has a somewhat textured finish, which over time, wore into the graphite shaft of my 816h. I mentioned it to Titleist and they quickly replaced the shaft when I sent them pictures. After that, I put a thin piece of stick-on felt on the inside of the grab handles and never had the issue again.

Titleist only offers great quality stuff. And they stand behind that stuff. You can't go wrong with the Deluxe Cart Bag.
