  1. Been thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these. You guys have any recommendations as far as brand and model?

    Thanks!

I have a Garmin S6 Aporoach that I got for Christmas. Love it. Other functions than GPS include the capability to measure swing speed and the ability to provide an audio signal to help swing tempo.

I've been doing my homework also , and from my research i think the Garmin Vivoactive is the best overall golf/fitness band. I've been checking reviews and asking around, so I'm pulling the trigger next payday.. hit'em straight...madgolfer

    Huddersfield,

I currently use a Garmin Sq1 that I've had for a year or two. It's only good for giving distance to front, middle and back and no lay up points, but I do find it useful
I've read that the new Tomtoms are very good though

I have the Garmin X40 and it works great!!! Very easy to use without distracting you. Usually within 5 yds or so compared to laser.
  7. Doing my final research now, I have been looking at pretty much all the Garmin ones. Any one run into courses not being loaded? I want to make that most of these ones arounf my area are on there. MadGolfer i am right there with you. Gonna pull the trigger this week on one. I will let you guys know and how well it works.

    Thanks for the input.
  8. I have Garmin Fenix 3Hr with Golf function plus a ton of other fitness apps. Cycling, hiking etc. Its always had the courses I need available for download in Scotland and Abu Dhabi/Dubai. Good luck....

I have been using the Garmin Approach X40 for about 6 months. I had a Garmin Vivosmart before that but that was not tailored to golf like the X40. Both are great to keep up with your steps and activity, but the X40 blows away the Vivosmart with all of the other extras.

  11. Update: Purchased the Garmin Approach S6. This thing is pretty amazing and def help when dialing in the greens. First two rounds I am pretty sure it shaved a few strokes off. I would recommend this to anyone!! Thank again for all the feed back guys. That's why I love Team Titleist!!
