I did a bunch of research on the glove with the greatest longevity...I've been playing the footjoy weathersof...I seem to be going through them quicker than usual any input on the longevity of the titleist gloves?

  2. Interesting question, I have studied this at great length and I think you find the following of value.

First, Titleist Gloves vs. Other Brands are built for players especially the Titleist Players Glove. Therefore, I would break up the Titleist gloves into three categories: Titleist Players Glove - PERFORMANCE with low longevity (very thin almost like no glove at all!), Players Flex Glove - PERFORMANCE with some longevity, and lastly the Perma-Soft Glove - PERFORMANCE with added longevity (great practice glove). Generally, the thicker the glove material can give you more longevity however it depends on the glove material (natural vs. synthetic).

The one thing you may find that that when we unknowingly in the middle of the swing grip and then re-grip at the top of the swing a wear pattern develops in the palm. I know I am guilty of this! That being said, if you are wearing through gloves unusually quick then you might address your grip flaws since they may save you some money on gloves as well as lower your score.

    Good Luck!

I use the FJ Weathersof, FJ Stasof, and the Titleist glove on any given day depending if I'm on the range or course. The Cabretta leather and design of the Titleist is rivaled by none in terms of comfort and feel. I'd guess there are other gloves out there with better longevity, especially on hot sweaty days, but I don't sacrifice feel for length of use. If you want a comparable feel for range sessions stick with the weathersof (a bit thicker feel) or the Stasof, and pull the Titleist out of the bag when you go to take the course. I typically get 5-8 rounds out of the Titleist but then again, my hands get quite clammy on hot summer days.

Weathersof is the NXT Tour Equivilant of ProV1. Go with FJ StaSof. Get several and rotate. That is the best approach.

    Hello Patrick,

I had the same issue as you a few years back... Posted the same question and the best advice i was given, is buy like 2-3 pairs and rotate them.. I've been doing that the last few years and it works.. Honestly i'm still using a few pairs I bought a few years ago just b/c i've been rotating them out...

That's the best advice I got...

    Play well!
  6. if you want the glove that lasts the longest I would go with a cally x tech. I use them on the range where I hit 200 balls every time i go and i have mcc grips and Ive been using the same one for 6 months now vs the titleist players glove I buy every few weeks

Chris that's exactly where they are wearing through...any suggestions on my unconscious re-grip at the top of my swing...links?...what you did?...
  8. I switch between the Perma-Soft and Players Flex, and love them both. I will not play with another glove. The longevity of these gloves are worth the extra bucks.
