I run mine thru the washing machine (warm water) and then dry them on a plastic hat frame I picked up at WalMart.
Used to use the dishwasher top rack, but the water gets way too hot.

Before running it through the washing machine/ dish washer, I would recommend soaking the hat in soapy water for a few hours. You can gently scrub the fabric with your hands or a brush if needed. This method will reduce the risk of messing up the bill, or the hat in general. Hope that helps!

If it's not too bad, I would definitely try to wash it by hand with some soap and a soft brush first. If that doesn't work, I've used the dish washer a few times with great results. However, be careful as most hats will shrink some when in the dish washer. I never did it, but it's probably a good idea to grab one of those plastic "frames" made specifically for washing hats.

I've always used hot water a soft brush ( dollar store toothbrush) , baking soda or oxy clean and a touch of laundry soap
I have always found that any machime I use.distorts the hats size just slightly.enough that it bugs me lol.
Hello all!
Thanks for all the tips, I ended up just throwing it in the washing machine with some other clothes and then air drying it. It worked like a charm!
Thanks again,

You should get this stuff called "Hat Saver" and spray it on your new hats also. It makes cleaning them much easier and they don't get those sweat marks on them that I get so easily with no hair.

Sweat in it enough to have a consistent stain throughout the fabric. You wont notice it as much this way.

Chris MGrindelwald,
Suggest to put the hat inot a bucket with Vanish and water, leav it in for 20 minutes and then rinse it off.
Worked well with all my hats

I wish there was a no fail method to this haha. I burn through hats so quickly with the hot SoCal weather. A 'Hat Saver' is a great thing to have to dry them. They are cheap and you can get them at Walmart, Target, Amazon. Ive found the washing machine works well if you just put a load up with a few hats and not a big load of clothes. The soaking and scrubbing method has been helpful for smaller stains.

My head sweats like crazy especially during summer time. After one use on a hot day, my hats usually have heavy stains, especially white or light color ones. My wife started soaking them in oxyclean for a day or two and then rinsing them out with warm water that that makes them look brand new.
