My first round of the season is just a few days away and I’m pretty excited to put my new ultra lightweight stand bag into the rotation. And as I was making the switch over to the new bag, I thought it would be fun (and interesting) to see what essential gear I keep with me at all times on the course.

So I snapped a few pics and posted them below. As you can see, I’m a bit of a minimalist and try to keep the essential gear limited.

How about everyone else… what gear is always in your bag? And don’t forget to share some of your photos!

Here is my current bag with range finder, towel, marker, and bag tag.

Here is my auxiliary equipment and performance maintaining drugs. I travel to a lot of different muni's, so being prepared for possible mosquitos, allergies, and/or questionable food is essential.

Sharp headcovers, Spud!  The medical kit is also a very smart idea.  Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks!

When the weather gets hotter I might have to add a snake venom kit as well. Saw a close call last year and I really don't want to be caught off guard if that ever happens.

  5. Usually rain coat and Epi pen. Always staying prepared for the weather is the most important thing.

Spud, What's the snake bite story? I am from the north where there or no poisonous snakes but make a trip deep in to WVA every year (it's next week) and my buddies and I are always scared to death of running in to a copperhead or rattlesnake. -SM

    Thanks!

I was walking my local course on a really hot, dry day. One of the types of days I would wear a wet towel around my neck like I was trecking through a desert. So hot, the band aid I gave to one of my partners wouldn't stick because he was sweating profusely.

The course is located between a canal trail and an open space where various wildlife live (Deer, coyotes, turkey, bobcats, and of course, rattlesnakes). I had just finished my second shot on a par 5 and one of my playing partners was walking a few yards ahead (ready golf and all that). That's when I see him make a huge, funny leap to the side. Before I could wonder what that was about, I see a sizable rattlesnake lunge at his exposed legs. He had almost stepped on the snake that was right in the middle of the fairway. Most of the time the snakes hang out on the rocks on the hillside or the black tee boxes where there is little traffic. So it was odd to see one right in our path.

We make it safely to the green and I look back to see the snake going in to one of the prairie dog holes headed towards the canal.

Like you I keep it simple since I still carry at 53 years old:  2 sleeves of PRO V1X, 15-20 tees, Titleist Glove, ball mark tool, ball marker, and range finder... thats it!

I've got a couple more gloves (already used) and more tees that you do, but only about 6 balls, an ultra light waterproof pullover, (hate getting caught in a shower), and the same laser range finder (they stand by their products).  I leave the adjustment tool in the car so I can't be tempted to change any settings on the course.

    Scott,

Go to your local Titleist dealer and let them know what you want.  They can order it for you.  My experience has been 4-5 weeks delivery.  You'll be surprised the compliments you will get at the course.

Will be switching to the lightweight carry bag for the summer.  So will post pics when I make the switch over.

I pack a ball marker and few tees, a couple of sleeves ProV1X #13's, a few gloves and a divot tool.

Have a golf caddy in my jeep that holds any essentials I may need or if the weather changes. (Hourly in Oklahoma)

Always apply sunscreen and make sure I have water.

    Pics to come.

I currently have a png Hoofer bag and walk nearly every round I play in the Southern heat.  I carry 6 ProV1 balls, handful of tees, a couple of ball markers, repair tool, towel, scorecard wallet, 13 clubs and a water bottle.  I am looking to replace the Hoofer and I am really liking the look of the lightweight stand bag.

You'll really like the lightweight Titleist stand bag.  I have one and think that it is great for walking as well as the cart.

Is possible to purchase a TT  reverse lightweight cart bag ?(or are TT bags for staff only) not that anyone out here in Bulgaria would notice or know the difference anyway.

I have a few discs missing from my neck and back and lucky to still play but always need an electric trolley, and on the look out for a new bag .

Thanks Chris B. I love my bag it a 2014 light weight model. I'm not a cancer fighter / survivor, but the wristband is for some friends of ours who's teenage son lost his fight last year. It's a tribute and reminder of him. Thanks for noticing.

Great looking bag Chris, the orange and black work well together. I didn't even know Titleist made those colors.

Thanks Scott! It's a 2014 model and to my knowledge that's the only year they made that color combination. I've never seen another one like it. The 2015 14 way stand bag has a similar color combo white as the main bag color with orange & gray it's a good looking bag. That's way I love Titleist stand bags cause not only are they made well and designed with walkers and riders in mind they also do some great color combos, so you can show some personality if you want.  TT 4 Life!!

Man now that is a nice collection of TT stuff!  TT hats, balls, bags

How do I get some of that swag?  I would love to get any of that with the TT logo on it!  The hats are sweet and would do anything for a stand bag with the name on it.  I have the same Bushnell range finder!

    Beautiful!
