Hzrdus snapping issue in U505?

  1. Hi all - at a recent custom fitting a pro told me to avoid the stock Hzrdus shaft in the U505 driving iron as he’d experienced multiple failures from recent customers who’d snapped the shaft. Anyone else heard this? I liked the shaft! He didn’t have any of the premium ones in stock and wasn’t pushing those on me, so seemed like a legit concern. Thanks.

  2. James,

I have the current years U505 and last years model. I carry the new one in a 3 iron and it does have the stock Hzrdus shaft in it. Last year's model had it too, but I had replaced it with a Steel Fiber CW 115 shaft since it does see more frequent play on the course and isn't necessarily just a "Fairway Finder" tee club.

I can say I've not experienced that issue with the stock shaft myself. However, I do feel fairly confident that should you experience that issue, Titleist would happily replace the shaft for you if it was not due to abuse or misuse. Depending on where you buy it, they typically would do the same.

Shafts aren't typically a part of that whole warranty package, but I do find that if it happens in a relatively soon time after you purchase it that they will you out.

    Just my $.02.
