Are my 690 CB grooves conforming to the new rules? Please advise.

    Thank you

Yes they are.  Majority of Titleist clubs are conforming with the exception of some of the older DCIs, 755s, 804s, some of the 775s and maybe a couple of others. There is a complete list on the USGAs website.

The wedges you pretty much need to start all over.  Are you playing in higher level tournaments where it matters?

Paul - Vokey Wedges are offered in new conforming grooves.  Take a look at this link:

    http://www.titleist.com/golfclubs/wedges/vokeyspinmilled.asp

Look for Spin Milled C-C Vokey Wedges - A full range of wedges in lofts from 48° to 64° and low, medium, and full bounce sole options.  The C-C is available in Tour Chrome finish only.

All my Vokeys (well, all three)  are black nickel.  That is my favorite finish for a wedge.

    I'm getting the Tour Chrome...

  11. I think that the new groove rule is a good thing! Some of these gentlemen; Mr. Hogan, Mr. Jones, Mr. Snead, Mr. Ballesteros, Mr. Nicklaus, Mr. Palmer, Mr. Player...and so on, used their creativity to spin the ball, etc.. It's about time we get "creative" in golf again. All of the new equipment is great, however, all that you have to do is swing and the equipment will do the rest for you. It's not very hard to put spin on the ball, take spin off, etc..

There's a list of conforming and non-conforming clubs on the U.S.G.A.'s website. Just go to their website, look for the links, and wa-la, the list. Then, just scroll down until you see your clubs, and they'll let you know if they're conforming or not.

I HAD to get the new wedges. I obviously got Vokey's. I love the crisp feel that I get from them. Ahhhhh...I have a 56 and 60, but want a couple more. The bad news is...my golf shop refuses to carry any more Titleist/FJ equipment.

     I couldn't agree more...

The problem with the local Pro's and I think the world of mine... is they sign with one club maker and that is all they are allowed to do, so if they are not Titleist Pro's the do not get the volume discount that makes it competitive. Mine calls the local Edwin Watts, gets a better deal and I byt it for a little better than over the counter...

There are time, that I have gone to the other guys just because they have it right now.... Like last night picked up my 56.11 C-C, but there is a B/O for 2 months on the 52.08 C-C.... Dam, time to call in a few favors... :)

I haven't seen a great deal of difference with the newer version. The ball still stops or slows down.

And the big boys have had no problems spinning it from what I have seen.

I just got a 52.08 and 58.04 and really like them I dont notice a huge difference in spin. I actually like it because I dont try to spin the ball so much on chips.
