I spend a lot of time hitting indoor on Trackman during the winter months and I've started to notice a bit of a discrepancy in regards to spin with the RCT balls as compared to standard ProV1's and even the older version RCT's I have.

It seems to be around 500rpm lower spin than a standard golf ball. Mostly in shorter irons, PW-7i. The longer irons and woods seem to be normal.

Has anyone noticed this, I have not noticed any major loss of spin on the golf course and I've been playing the same irons for 2 years now. Could it be that my irons, just spin less now than they did previously as the face as worn a bit.

I do practice quite a bit so that's a logical explanation and admittedly hit my shorter irons more than the long irons and driver.

Just was curious if anyone else had noticed anything like this with the RCT balls.

I've been using the RCT's for 8 or 9 months. I haven't noticed any difference in spin but I have to admit I don't look at that as much as the distance and the direction the ball is traveling. When I play the sim courses or do the closest to the flag contests the ball stops quickly on the green, so it hasn't made me want to check my spin.

I also started using the RCT's this winter for practicing in simulators. I have not noticed any significant spin differences as of yet.

Will keep an eye on that and report back if something changes.
