This topic comes up with some regularity. Without posting responses, Titleist does read these posts. I'm sure they have lively discussions internally during design sessions. The last 3 releases have seen a lot of effort to improve the cover. Adding a line in color adds complexity to make sure both colors perform the same. Titleist works products from the pros down to the dedicated amateur. Even with competitors that offer an optic ball, very few pros have moved to them. Purists still rule. To be sure, I'd switch in less than a heartbeat. But the white ones are still otherwise superior to the optic options.
