  1. Hi all, I know that each ball is supposed to be slightly different in spin/feel. But was wondering if any one has played both pro v1 and v1x and if they actually saw a noticeable difference between the two?

No question there is a difference. But the benefit will vary by user. I find the -V1x launches higher - important for my game. The -V1 is softer feel and I like the feel around the green. Both roll out less than the non-urethane balls, so I have used the -V1x as it impacts my scoring more. Your results may vary, but try both from green to tee.

I've played both and have bing a long time ProV1 loyalist, however, I have been playing the ProV1x lately. The main difference for me seems to be a little greater distance and control off the tee either ProV1x. I think the ProV1x is more suited for my swing speed approximately 110mph.

I've played the Pro V1 for years without giving it too much thought. It always performed great and I liked the slightly softer feel compared to the V1X. Then I was given some Pro V1x's which have become softer than previous generations, and I noticed a higher flight with my driver which added carry distance. The difference otherwise is almost unnoticeable ( they are both great ) so I switched.

I've played the Pro V1 until 2015, then switched to the V1x ball when the made it slightly softer feel, the main reason for change was it's slightly longer carry distance with the driver, I tend to hit the V1x about 8yds longer off the tee, however still prefer the V1 with my irons. I believe both balls are similar in length with the mid & short irons with the V1 offering a little more stopping power. For me the V1x has the drop & stop action where the V1 tends to grab and spin back a little with my wedges, I also seem to get a little more grab on my chipping & pitching with the V1. I'm excited to try the new 2017 Pro V1 ball when it comes out and see how it performs!
