I stack my golf balls in a tower one dozen on top of another dozen etc. It stands about 4 feet high.

What is the risk that the weight of the dozens on top of the lower dozens causes performance issues to the lower dozens? I am wondering if they could go out of round or the constant weight could cause performance issues.

Any help and insight is appreciated. Thanks

I would not think there would be any issues.

Out of curiosity, how many dozen balls does it take to build your 4ft tower?

On average, I only keep 4 - 6 dozen around. I usually stock up early in the year and don't buy anymore until I get down to a dozen remaining.

I don't see where that would have any effect on the balls. I would think Titleist would have some major issues if that were the case.

Wow four feet high, seriously I wouldn't think it should be an issue.

Wow, that is a lot golf balls! According to my calculations about 27 dozen.
Currently I have a single stack, obviously I do not golf enough! LOL!!

Do not think there is a shelf life on Titleist golf balls, but I could be wrong.

    4 ft tower...holy hell! That's like 4-6 years worth of balls! 23 - 26 boxes?

Thanks guys. It is a space saver to have them like that. But it is pretty heavy so I worry about the constant pressure of the weight.

It is probably around 25-30 dozen in my stack. I always buy too many and then the new ball comes out and I like it more and the old ones stay at the bottom. Haven't been losing them as much either and they are more durable so they last longer. And I can never resist the promos either.

I just need to play more golf!!

    Thanks guys.

Great question, I am surprised Titleist hasn't chimed in.

I don't think they've chimed in because they don't expect people to have 25-30 dozen stacked up! Stores never stack that high and the balls are sold fast enough to not worry about that. :D
  11. I do not think there would be any negative effects.

That is way too many golfs balls to keep on hand, unless you are only playing one ball a round and you play a lot of golf. I normally have no more than five dozen on hand at any time. That is about a years worth and I play three days a week. We all go thru periods where we will loose one and then on occasions we may get a couple of rounds out of a ball, if they do not get baptized on a cart path. With respect.

It shouldn't be a problem. Just use up most of them before you buy more. On second thought, if these are Pro V1's, it could be very bad. If you would like, I can send you my address to send me a few dozen so it would lighten the load on top of the others.

    Cheers...
  14. I think the only risk you run, is mates borrowing balls from you if they see this tower! hide it :) i go through a doz of NXT Tour's in a month LOL, but I'm still very average. The best is to buy the balls you use on specials, promotions etc. and keep them, as I'm sure you do - they won't go bad.
