which ball do you prefer and why?

  2. I've gone back and forth on this and I really prefer the pro v1 for the extra spin on approach shots.

I've been using Pro-V1x for 3 releases. I felt I was getting better distance by just a little and not losing control around the greens compared to the V1. Had a chance this week to trial the 2017 prototype. It is as long or longer than the V1x and really felt great on soft pitches with good stopping power. For my game, the 2017 V1 will be my gamer next year. I'm almost afraid to see what happens with my 917 D2 o/o and this new Pro-V1. Separately, they have both wowed me. I generally believe Titleist products are incremental each release but these are the best 2 new releases that have really worked for me. Others will have different experiences. but I didn't feel much variation with the new Pro-V1x.

Pro V1x - Spins less and feels a little firmer. I like the feedback from iron shots as well as off the putter face.

I prefer the ProV1. My swing produces high launch and low spin. So the ProV1 provides me with a lower launch, more piercing trajectory, and the additional spin that I need to maintain the optimal carry distance. I play the ProV1 year round in all weather conditions and in all playing conditions (casual rounds, tournaments rounds, etc.). Year after year, the ProV1 has been the best ball for me.
