I like to play both balls because i feel like the Pro V1 has a softer feel and more short game control but i also like the Pro V1x because i have a straighter ball flight off the tee with it and less driver spin. tell me what you guys think about the balls and which ones work best for you.

I like the the Pro V1x.  It seems to fit my game best

I like the feel of the one but I also like lower spin of the X. I play AP2-714's and the X hits the greens and stops right there. The One does release about three feet. I play both but the X wins out in tournament play.

I like to play both also but the condition of the course dictates which one I use. If it's hard and dry, it's the prov1, wet and soft greens, prov1x. Sometimes the prov1 can spin too much.

I have played both and I agree.  The Pro V1 is softer and really checks up on the green.  Other players ask me how I can spin the ball so well.  But I like the Pro V1X, it has a click when I hit the driver.  Ball goes straighter and further, especially with my driver.  Lower spin I think.  Still checks up on the green.  I score better with the Pro V1X, chipping and putting.

I like the Pro V1 better. Yes on real windy days the x is nice for tee shots, but for my game the Pro V1 is my ball.

I recently switch to the ProV1x after playing the standard ProV1 for years.  I was very nervous to make the switch but after 2 months now, I'm very glad I did.  For context, my index is 5.  I'm about 55% GIR so control and feel around the greenn is super important to me.  Truth be told I can tell very little difference with the putter, yes the x is just a little firmer but I don't think it makes a spec of difference.  The spin on chips is just a little less as well but again, at my skill level, it just isn't enough to make a difference.

Where I noticed the biggest difference and why I'm so glad I switched is in the trajectory of the ball.  I've not lost any distance, but my ball flight is much higher now which means the ball is landing softer on the green.  I'm also hitting more fairways as the higher lauch angle and less backspin decreases my draw which if I'm not careful turns into a big hook.  So microscopic difference around the green but huge impacts off the tee and on that all important 2nd scoring shot.

  8. I like to play the ProV1 when it is cooler outside and the ProV1x when it warms up in the afternoon.  The ProV1x seems to be a harder, higher compression ball.

I've played both in the past, but have been a Pro V1X guy for a few years now. I like the little extra distance and I don't need the extra spin that the regular V1 gives me. Both are great balls though and I'd play either before I played a different ball.

I personally prefer the Pro V1X, as I've got a high ball flight and I prefer the 'drop and stop' (less spin) I get from the X. I'm not one of those players who is bothered about ripping the ball back 10-15 feet when hitting the green - to me that's not having the ball under real control.

Latest year was the soft prov 1 this year the prov1x less spin off the tee and long shots working really well so far :D

I play the ProV1X - nothing more than I like the feel the best.

I prefer the Pro V1 around the greens and the Pro V1x off the tee. My short game is much better then off the tee box. I'm using the Pro V1x right now as i am more confident with it in the weaker parts of my game. Both are all around great balls and cant wrong with ether one.

I play the Pro V1x, I enjoy the distance and still get plenty of spin!
