I received the proto type ball a week or so ago and have had the chance to play about six rounds using the proto type and found it to be a great ball over all. I did lose distance off the tee with the driver. The balance of my games stayed about the same. The spin the ball had off the short irons and wedge shots was something. I was able to spin the ball back on several times and by the third round was actually able to play a few shots to fly over the flag and bring it back to the stick. Something I have not been able to do with my ProV1x. I liked the ball but not sure I want to give up the distance with the driver and fairway woods. The ProV1x has really given me more distance and made my second shots shorter into the green. I will say, that there are a couple of courses I play that having the higher spin around the greens might be helpful because these courses place a premium on landing the ball in the right spot on the green over just hitting the green. Overall I liked the ball.
