I was out looking for new rain gear on the weekend (thought it would be good timing for dry summer sales)I looked at the different brands and was trying to justify the cost upgrade from standard FJ to FJ Tour. Can anyone comment on the two choices, is the Tour series needed on the Left Coast where we never get too far below 5 celcius, my course is open year round, so I get a lot of rounds in, so the gear would get a fair amount of use..

    Hi Frank,

The FJ Tour lineup would be recommended in your climate given the amount of precipitation you're exposed to. They provide the most protection in our lineup from wind and moisture while allowing the player a free range of motion for the golf swing. We'd recommend taking a look at the FJ Layering System.  Steve Stricker and Bill Haas amongst many other Tour players have been using it this year with great success. Here is a link to the FootJoy site where you can check it out... http://www.footjoy.ca/customerservice/layering.asp

Thanks, I must admit it is the nicest looking gear, but I am starting to get a reputation, the guy's at work are fairly certain if they were to search me they would find a Titleist tatoo. I tell them I don't have time to listen to people who can't hit a 3 iron; when I started, the knock was not hitting 1 irons, now it's 3 irons....sad.

    Hi Frank,

If you told us you had a Tattoo...we'd believe you!  Check out just a few of the ones that have come through over the past year or so. (Had to include the pumpkin)

    Cheers,
