We have plenty in store for you on Team Titleist Canada this season...

However, we would like to hear what YOU would like to see on Team Titleist Canada?

I would love to see a couple of lucky winners get a chance to get down to one of the Titleist fitting centers in the US for a day or 2 fitting session. Team Titleist US had a couple of trips including fittings and a ball plant tour, I think it would be great for some Canadians to have a chance at this. I know I'm thinking big here....

Also I would like to see some dates of fittings/demo days in Canada posted as well as possible statistics from Canadian Tour and Canadian Amateur events posted.

The only time I was a member of a golf company site was when another golf manufacturer used to run a promotion where you picked a player that uses their brand every week and if that player won all the correct entries would be submitted in a draw for a new driver. I was so engaged in that contest and it really peaked my interest in the regular tour events. You would often select the lesser known players to improve your chances of winning if they ever won a tournament. As a brand it was good for their brand. I knew what each player was using or at least I knew if they were using that manufacturers clubs. I would suggest something similar if you want people engaged in this site and marketing of your brand.

As Matt said, sweepstakes for complete Fitting experience would be really nice. Also, is there any chance that a similar TPI experience would be something.

Keeping us informed on professional/amateur tournament results by provinces would also be great! Could be fun to see if other good players are on Team Titleist!

I am getting another year older (sunday) and have been using the pro v 1x. Is it time for me to re fit my ball. Last year I picked up a driver for swing speeds of 90 mph and less and hit it great. I wonder if there is a better titelist ball for me to use. I have been a TITELIST   user for 50 years.

    Hi John,

    Great question!

I wouldn't let age become too much of a factor in choosing your golf ball. Of course, a golf ball doesn't know the age of the player swinging the club. Overall performance of the ball and how it suits your game should be the primary focus. Club speed does play a factor in the flight of your ball and would be considered during a Titleist Ball Fitting.

The best way to answer your question is indeed through the participation in a Titleist Ball Fitting. Titleist Ball Fittings will be taking place across the country this season so please contact your local Titleist Authorized Retailer for details. We hope to update TEAM TITLEIST CANADA on dates/locations of public Ball Fittings throughout this golf season.

If you care to share your approximate location closer to the date you plan on attending a Titleist Ball Fitting, we can try to suggest the ideal location for you.

In the meantime, please visit the newly revamped http://www.titleist.ca/golf-ball-fitting/ .  There are some  excellent new videos explaining the Titleist Ball Fitting Approach along with some great information and graphics to help you better understand the importance of Ball Fitting.

Thanks again for the great question,

    Mitch D - Team Titleist

I would like to see a few things on Team Titleist Canada.  The first would be  more fitting/demo days in Canada, especially in Atlantic Canada.  There is a great deal to be accomplished here in these four provinces.  It might even be better to have people in the area trained rather then sending the clubs and personal to the area.  Take representatives from each province and train them in, then just send the equipment around the provinces.

The next idea would be  contests.  At each event provide the attendees with a chance to win various prizes.  They could be a small as a sleeve of balls, and as big as a trip to an Official Fitting site.  With every sign up there is an opportunity to win a prize.

      Thanks

      Jim S.

    Hi Jim,

As the Titleist Sales Representative for Atlantic Canada I truly appreciate your comments. Both Titleist Ball and Club fitting are top priorities of ours in 2011 and we're very excited about all the buzz the NEW Pro V1 Golf Balls and 910 Drivers have generated over the winter. Once the snow melts and the sun comes out we'll have fitting days scheduled throughout Atlantic Canada.

Regarding the training of Golf Shop Associates...We have Titleist Authorized Fitting Locations across Atlantic Canada which are staffed with associates trained specifically to fit Titleist products.  To name a few: Fredericton, Ashburn, Lynx at Kingswood Park, Belvedere and Gowan Brae.

If you have any questions about the location or contact information for these Fitting Locations please let us know or visit: http://www.fittingworks.com/FindaFitter.aspx?tab=5 .

Thanks for the excellent feedback Jim and I hope to see you at a Fitting Day within the next few months.

    All the best,

Thank you very much for your information.  You did provide me with some information to which I was previously unaware.  However you did also, reveal something that I already knew.  The one thing Titleist Canada lacks, true representation in Newfoundland and Labrador.  As long as there has been club fitting, the only company that provided a fitting system and trained staff was a competitors of yours.  It would think that by now there would have been a remedy for this problem.

    Hey Jim,

Last year we had fitting days at both Bally Haly and Glendenning.

Glendenning in 2008 and 2009 were a fitting partner of ours.

I will be in Newfoundland in June with my fitting tools.   Let me

know if you would like to be fit.

    Cheers,

    Chris

Hi, Chris; It was not a great summer for me to get time for fitting. I did however have a PB this past summer with an even par on my favorite 9 hole course and a 74 on my home course. I still find that I am missing some feel with my current set (990's circa 2000). Let me know if you will be around this summer. Thanks Jim Swyer.

Best question in the short history of Team Titleist!

We'll let you know when we come up with that technology.  For now, I think we'll just concentrate on Golf Equipment. ; )

Personally, I am a huge fan of Tour gear. I would love to see pictures and interviews with Canadian Pros, from all tours worldwide. Some WITB pictures. Lastly, give me the first look at prototypes.

P.S. Just got my new hooks and my bag is ready for the season. It looks unreal with all the new headcovers.

As others have said, I would love the opportunity to get properly fitted.  I've read all about launch angles, spin rates, smash factor, land angle and so on but don't know any place to get it done by an experienced and knowledgable fitter that I trust.

What would be nice would be to have access to some of your Tour players launch monitor data or more precisely, the specs of their older setup (VS the newer) and their feedback on the new equipment in relation to their game.

For example, Ball speed, LA, Spin with the driver and 6 iron.

You guys have done a great job for the first year, keep up the good work!

    Hi,

As mentioned before I think it would be awesome to be able to purchase team titleist gear... a shop on this site would be sweet.  Also, more promotions, at least on a monthly basis.  I really like the tour blogs and the discussions that are generated here.

Also you could do a Team Titleist Member Q & A so people get to know the other titleist enthusiasts on the site.

Seeing that many of us are loyal Titleist brand players how about providing some incentives for our long term loyality:

for every titleist brand purchase at any retail store allow us to track the purchase on your website and collect bonus points that are redeemable for more Titleist products through Team Titleist Canada... similar to a loyality program. You would develop a rewards scale for purchases (- i.e. dozen Pro V1x balls worth 100 points; vokey wedge worth 300 points, 913 driver worth 1200 points; etc) and a similar scale for free redemptions ( free dozen Pro V1x balls worth 400 points; vokey wedge worth 1500 points, 913 hybrid worth 2000 points; etc).

provide loyality discounts for shaft/grip upgrades for clubs or even fittings.

give away more free stuff - if i see my friends playing new Titleist gear then the chances of me wanting to get it might increase, especially if they got it for free. And make the give aways for all products: clubs, balls, gloves, clothing. Even try sending out stuff randomly with no contest or strings attached. Makes for great PR.

keep us in the loop on new developments - send us secret emails on upcoming products before info is released on the various golf blogs

    Thanks for listening.

All my ideas were already hit on the head by some members already. But Here are some that i like/liked:

    1. Contests for a free fitting session, with the Titleist team

    2. Caddie for a Titleist staffer during the Canadian Open

    3. Contest / Giveaways

    4. More fittings in B.C.

    5. This is just me, but i would love a quick way to know how to fit a putter for you. If you don't have anyone to help you in the area you live..

    Thanks :)

Offer us advanced purchase opportunities for the new 913 and other roll out products through a regional Titleist fitting centre.

    Team Titleist member - Check

    Titleist bag - Check

    Titleist woods - Check

    Titleist Irons - Check

    Vokey Wedges - Check

    Scotty Putter - Double Check

    Titleist balls - Check

Footjoy Shoes, Raingear, gloves, shirts and hats, - Roger that, Check to all.

When you look at it from our perspective, were the ones patronizing Titleist, let us wave the flag as soon as the gear is ready.  Make all the others wait till the roll out dates.  The fitting centre gets the revenue, and the TT members get to feel good about being a bigger part of the roll out.

I would have to agree with Frank aswell. That would be such a great idea. I myself am a die hard Titleist supporter with a full line up of Titleist gear in my arsenal. Having the opportunity to be a part or having equipment early would be beneficial. Another idea would be to add a Buy/Sell/Trade forum within the site.

    Cheers Shawn
