Hi All I play the T200 w/AMT black R300s. They work well. My question is in regards to trackman data. I play the Pro v1 and been working on my swing immensely this winter I swing the 8 iron 73-75 mph and my question pertains to spin data. I hit down on the ball no problems and max spin I can get with a 8 iron is 5390 or thereabouts. I believe my spin should be higher. I have contemplated trying a V1x however I cannot get on with hard balls...

Is spin mostly affected by the shaft? I plan to get fit in the spring. I am going through practice/lessons and working on a more effective in to out swing path

    Thanks

It's hard to see from the screenshots of the Trackman Data but what were your Apex Height and Landing Angles? You may need a flexier shaft to increase all of these. Were you fitted for your clubs?

Joseph. Thanks for the response. my height was 60 feet and my land angle was 38.9*. I am 51. I am trying to work one a more effective club path and release pattern. (I am trying to tame a overactive top half) I was not fitted for the clubs however I plan to get fit this year as I want to go from 10.4 index to hopefully a single digit... It could be as well due to me being too focused on "positions" instead of a natural swing so to speak.

I am hoping to gain speed after the mechanics are engrained. Its been a real amount of work this winter working on a more effective swing...

    Thanks for the reply

I cannot say what the optimum spin rate should be with your swing speed but I can say without any reservations that the shaft can have a significant effect on your preferred numbers. I have gone through a number of fittings with Titleist Fitters and in every one of my sessions the fitter tried a variety of shafts until we got the numbers and flight trajectory to as good as it can be for my swing :) I don't know enough about all the combinations of data so I have always left my ultimate selection in their hands. Never disappointed ! Definitely worth doing the fitting as they know what they are doing !

I am definitely going to do a fitting! My goal is to get my ball striking up for the new T200's. I like the clean look of them and I am open minded to a blended set (350's in the lower clubs if need be) and shafts that will be optimal for my particular swing characteristics....

I went today for a lesson with my pro and he identified a issue with my release (slight chicken wing) as I can pull hands LEFT and got me on a drill (head cover 4 feet in front of ball) for a more extended left arm and with my 7 iron I was swinging 75-78 MPH and I was carrying the ball 145-155 yards with 160-165 carry distances (trackman) my ball speed was 100 mph or slightly more. I did a total 180* from my previous practice. which is good for me as I am really working on a multitude of things to get better ball striking

Many thanks for the reply and excited to get fit!

I did a fitting today and the KBS tour lite regular with T150 heads (7-48*) my spin and height greatly increased.

    was a good day

Nice - Glad you found your perfect set-up. I keep hearing more and more good things about the T150's. I am hoping to do a proper fitting later this spring when I can do it outside off the turf :)
