I can't believe how busy my course is, I've worked at the same private course for 7 years the tee times were always fully booked for 8- 11, then you could probably walk on for the rest of the day on week days. This year it is slammed packed all everyday.

It's also the public courses too, with less tee times does it just seem busier? but courses reporting a 15% increase in play.

I wonder if it will last all summer, with more options to do things opening up.

My course is constantly busy as well. Even though it is busy, with 12 minute intervals, and 1 person per cart, playing time has not exceeded 4 hrs, and in some cases 3.5 hrs. So that alone is an added bonus. As much as the course is full, it feels empty when you are playing, as the group in front is usually already in the middle of the next fairway., and the group behind is a full hole back.

I totally agree about the increase in play. I really thought that the pandemic may reduce the number of rounds because people were either not working and therefore could not afford to play, or their business was closed down and they would be tapping their available funds to cover rent and wages with lower sales. Apparently I was way off as our course has also see a significant increase in tee times. We still easily get through in less than 4 hours, so pace of play is not an issue, but it is strange to see the parking lot so full compared to previous seasons :)
It is good for the course that play has increased, as they certainly have been hit with the closure of the restaurant and lounge.
