Yes - I was watching as the Premier made the announcement !!!! The official statement is that Golf Courses in Ontario may open as of 12:01 on May 16. Club houses can be open for bathroom access only and restaurants are for takeout food only. Outside of that it appears that they are leaving the rest of the rules around operations up to the operators to use industry best practises. I know that all the owners and operators have been working with the industry to establish a fullsome set of protocols to operate safely and efficiently. I trust the Manager and staff at our course to have things well in hand to keep the members and guests safe. Now it is up to all of us to follow the rules :)

I have my round booked for Thursday already. Gotta shine up the clubs for then! Hopefully I get my SM7 wedges in by then.

As much as I was looking forward to the opening, I will have to wait until Wednesday. It is the first day where we can get our usual foursome together and somehow the first round just has to be with a group of close friends. Really looking forward to it :) The range and practice areas will be closed at our course until further notice so no admittance or practice until the first tee !

Darius, you are a true friend. If I was in your shoes, I would have played this weekend, anyway. Today was a little wet and windy, but Saturday and Sunday were great. How's the shoulder?

The first 3 days have run very well. The courses are extremely organized, and the flow of traffic allows for social distancing. It feels really good to be back.

Bob - Glad to see you are back into the routine and on the links :) My bag is waiting at the door for me to join up with my pals tomorrow... As for the shoulder - I got a clean bill of health from my Physio Therapist in January and have been doing my exercises ever since. It feels great but of course the real test will be tomorrow when I am on the links ! I appreciate you asking...
