Blake - I totally understand your question about purchasing wedges with grinds designed for your own course conditions. When I did my fitting for my wedges, one of the questions was directly related to where I play most often, and what the conditions are there. In my particular case, I play over 90% of my games through the season at my home course. As such I ended up with grinds that fit my swing and my course agronomy. I can see if you were not a member at a course, and travelled around a lot this could be an issue. No question I would need a different grind if I played a lot down south in sandy conditions or deep bermuda rough.

Yes, select your bounce and grinds to suit where you will be playing most of your golf, Im sure your locap PGA Pro will help with some guidance..

I'd get them for your home course since that's where you will be playing most of your rounds. I found that the wedges I get usually fit all courses. It's either that or I adjust myself well quickly lol.

I would be more inclined to get wedges that fit your swing, rather than worry about what course you are playing. For me, the determining factor has always been the bounce. All of my wedges have low bounce. I then adjust my club selection according to the shot I need. I think too many people are hung up on the grind of the wedge. I consider myself an above average wedge player as I have several different shots I can play depending on conditions, and to be truthful, I have 3 different grinds on my SM6s, and I can't tell the difference between any of them with respect to grind. Get the clubs that feel right for you. Period.
